Lifetime has picked up the adolescent intervention series Teen Trouble, the network announced today. Lifetime has ordered eight episodes of the unscripted one-hour show. Set to debut on December 28, Teen Trouble will chronicle efforts to pull out-of-control teenagers back from the brink of drugs, drink, depression and self-destruction. The show will be hosted by Josh Shipp, who formerly was an advice correspondent on MTV’s TRL and the author of The Teen’s Guide To World Domination. RelativityREAL’s Ellen Rakieten Entertainment division is producing. Ellen Rakieten and former Intervention producer Bryn Freedman will executive produce with Lifetime’s Rob Sharenow, Gena McCarthy, Stephen H. Schwartz and Sandy Varo of Lifetime.

Hasn’t this show already been airing on Lifetime?
I saw the sneak preview – it was amazing. Watched with family. The secret life of teens and their parents are shocking.
LOVE this show. An important wake up call for American parents. Well done!
I thought this already aired? Saw an episode where the girl is shooting up heroin?! Was pretty hard to watch but I guess people need to see things like this instead of ignoring it.
I’m so thankful for this show, only sad that it didn’t come two years ago so I could have been more help to my teen grandaughter…I’ve lost contact through her depression and problems and I have a fear of getting that dreaded call…please if you have a family member having issues and discussing sucide, writing about it constantly and having problems at every turn, intervene and force them to get help, if you have to set on them…love is being there for them, and realizing their needs, unconditionally no ..well you’re better but listen you are still>>>> give them a break praise, hug and love don’t judge as we don’t realize what is going in on their minds, and they need professional help and lots of love and support…I lost that opportunity waiting on the mom to do something…sad that so many teens are in need of help today, Don’t make it about you and what you are dealing in this, but about the teen that feels they have no where to turn for it to be better…it’s all about them!
