Good news for ABC’s Once Upon A Time. After hitting a season low two weeks ago following a three-week streak of ratings gains, the fairytale drama (3.0/7 in adults 18-49) rebounded last night, up 11%. (ABC’s Sunday lineup was pre-empted for the American Music Awards last week.) But Once‘s lead-out, soap Revenge (2.2/5), didn’t follow suit, dropping 12% from its season low two weeks ago to a new low mark. ABC’s Sunday bookmark series, America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.6/4) and cancelled 666 Park Avenue (1.2/3), both held steady.

Fox continued to ride a ratings roller-coaster on Sunday as the network alternates with CBS in carrying NFL double-headers. It was Fox’s turn to air a late game yesterday, giving a boost to the animated comedy block. As usual, The Simpsons (3.3/8, up 38% from last week), was the biggest beneficiary as it followed immediately the network’s football coverage at 8 PM. Bob’s Burgers (2.0/5) was up 11%, Family Guy (2.8/6) up 8% and The Cleveland Show (1.9/4), airing at 9:30 PM, was up 19% from last week’s 7:30 PM telecast.
NBC is projected to win the night with Sunday Night Football. In time-zone-adjusted metered-market household results, the Packers-Giants game (13.5/21 share) was up 11% from last week and 8% from the same night last year.
CBS’ lineup was scrambled again, this time because of NFL pre-emptions is several big markets including Chicago, Baltimore, Washington, Atlanta, Detroit and Miami. In those markets, the network’s primetime started at 7:58 PM, with all programs shifting by almost an hour, while in the rest of the country they aired in pattern. This renders CBS’ fast nationals as pretty unreliable.

REVENGE hasn’t held up its end of the bargain this season. Overly convoluted plot lines, no real direction going forward — my wife and I are still watching it but would be hard-pressed to explain what’s going on. Or, even worse, care…
Couldn’t agree more. One word describes what Revenge has become: Unwatchable!
This show is already jumping the shark and might be history after this season.
No one cares about Revenge’s silly “look back episodes” , that show is a dish best served cold.
Already cold and headed for the scrap heap, Mean-spirited and without the redeeming quality of being entertaining.
None of those shows stood a chance.
All lovers of fine acting and extravagant production values were tuned to “Liz and Dick.”
Revenge is my favorite Sunday night show, look forward to it! I like the plot lines and have no trouble following them:)) just have to pay attention! Sort of like Nikita meets the rich Hamptons,,,, love it!!!
Revenge was a fillet this week, it should bounce up next week they got to get the story back on track, though to many “alias type stories going on” but I’m sticking with it
Thank you I needed a laugh …….
Revenge was big improvement this week. Felt like a season one episode. Thank good emilys mom is gone and we didn’t have Amy fauxmanda… She needs to be a recurring. Hell kill her off already. At least the Grayson stuff was better and at least the stowaway stuff was more interesting now that we have some context. And finally at least aiden was consistent and made sense with his actions. Still find the actor beyond bland.. hearing him talk is like listening to paint dry.
The show Once Upon A Time is falling prey to a trap that epic tv shows fall into. The new characters keep coming and there is no time to develop recurring characters satisfactorily. This happened to Heroes when the audience was left wondering what happened to the original cast as more and more new characters came. When the show introduced the Frankenstein story I thought, “This is the beginning of the end.” Then in the last episode aired when Henry said more or less any character from any set of tales could come to storybrooke. So I am not watching the show, just before the original characters begin mending long standing relationship problems in twenty second sound bites as they switch the scene to Thor having a battle in the forest with the Abominable Snowman as Totoro flies across the sky dropping dust bunnies.
