Martin Short returns for his third hosting appearance December 15 for Saturday Night Live‘s Christmas show. Paul McCartney will appear for his fourth stint as musical guest. SNL also confirmed that Jamie Foxx will host the December 8 episode ahead of the opening of his next film Django Unchained on December 25, with Ne-Yo as musical guest for the first time.

wow
As long as the writing doesn’t fail them, this should be one fantastic Xmas show. Thrilled to see the vastly underrated Short back in 8H!
I don’t get the McCartney booking. He’s become entirely irrelevant unless he’s touring as an oldies act for baby boomers.
Yes, one of the greatest musical legends of all time and most recognizable people in the world is completely irrelevant. Do you think the world is inhabited solely by teenagers?
I’m 30 years old, McCartney’s heyday was before my time but I’m a huge fan and even if it weren’t the case, you have to give credit where credit is due.
He’s totally relevant.
I was a teeneager less than ten years ago, and he was still the best musician around…WAAAAAAAAY better than Beiber who happens to be popular but completely irrelevant and with NO staying power.
Have you ever been to a McCartney concert? I’ve been to 7. There are just as many children and teenagers as there are adults.
Get a clue.
McCartney just released a version of “Chestnuts Roasting On A Fire,” and of course sings “Wonderful Christmastime.” I imagine that, since just last season he was on SNL singing some Beatles/Wings classics, he will perform Christmas songs for the Christmas episode. Sounds fun, if so!
I love it when a “legend” like Sir Paul gets to appear on SNL. Way better idea than having Gaga and Bieber wannabes appear week after week. His 2010 appearance where he paid tribute to John Lennon was very memorable. And who could forget “Red Hooded Sweatshirt” with Adam Sandler and his late wife Linda?
