Shari Smiley of The Smiley Group made the deal for Michael Gates Gill in conjunction with the Gillian MacKenzie Agency.

Epic.
So it’s a variation of LARRY CROWNE…
Sounds like “Larry Crowne” with coffee.
I would rather see the lego movie than this.
So a son of privilege learned how to live like everyone else, huh? Because everyone else can afford to spend $4.00 for a cup of coffee during a recession.
Loved the book. Looking forward to see who gets cast.
The book is great, but can’t imagine it will translate well into a movie. It will come off like Waa-Waa call the Whambulance-type of movie. Upper-middle calls white guy looses big time advertising job and life suddenly came crashing down on him. He experiences ageism (only one of the many “isms” that the other 75 percent of the population have to deal with) and learns what life is like for the average person whom he’d never given a thought to when he was rich. But the pendulum swings back his way and he still gets to live happily ever after. Hell, he got a book deal and it went on to be No.1 on NYT bestseller list. So there’s nothing “feel good” in it or remarkable or shocking about his story.
