Veteran British actor Mark Ryan has joined Starz’s upcoming series Black Sails, the eight-episode pirate adventure executive produced by Michael Bay that is set 20 years before the events in Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. Ryan will play Gates, Captain Flint’s (Toby Stephens) right-hand man. Ryan, who has been the on-set presence of the Autobots on all three Transformers movies, is managed by Sandy Oroumieh.
Haley Webb is set for a major recurring role on the coming season of MTV’s Teen Wolf. She will play rumored love interest for Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin). Webb, repped by Innovative and Principato Young, has completed indies Rushlights and Single In South Beach.

Excuse me? Isn’t Stiles Derek’s love interest? One of the executive producers even agreed to consider pairing them up next season! NOT COOL, JEFF. NOT. COOL.
Step away from the fandom and sterek tag. I’d rather have an ACTUAL queer relationship as opposed to queerbaiting that will inevitably be done with sterek. Not to mention, I highly DOUBT that sterek will ever happen considering we don’t have anything to say that Derek is gay (he definitely seems straight considering how he sexually coerced Erica into the bite and fell for Kate) and that stiles being bi is the biggest loadest of crap ever.
How is Stiles being Bi a load of crap?? Jeff Davis even said he’d hinted at it in canon… Anyway, I agree I’d love to see an actual gay relationship, but I don’t think the characters have to be introduced and identified by their sexuality for that to happen. I love it when interesting characters are incidentally gay without it being the most important thing about them. Stiles and Derek have so much potential, it’s a little bewildering to see it go to waste, but I trust Jeff Davis and support the show. If I have to watch Derek Hale fall for a random girl instead of seeing him play off the chemistry and trust he already has with Stiles… well, then Teen Wolf won’t be different from any other show on tv where heteronormativity takes precedent over what fans want to see. I’ll just sit here hoping and shipping.

Dude’s its just a rumour! It’s fine, she’s gorgeous and I can’t wait. I want Sterek as much as the next guy, possibly more than the next guy, but as long as this is treated realistically I don’t care. Derek is a bucket full of issues when it comes to human females and they just have to remember that and I’ll be okay with this. She might be a Hale, but I’m putting down my money on Miss Blake. So let’s just calm down and embrace the fact that we’re getting more female characters on the show! They only added two female character last season as opposed to at least five more male characters so lets just relax. It’s gonna be awesome either way, and I think a romantic relationship would be interesting (as long as Sterek is confirmed by the end ^_^)

Derek’s not ready for a love interest, he has to get over so many other things first
Um guys, Sterek is NEVER going to happen till the character of Stiles turns 18. Otherwise it’s illegal because Derek is in his mid-20′s and Stiles is a minor. You know, the same thing that fans hate Kate for.
The show can’t just show an illegal relationship. Not because it’s gay (queer woman right here) but because Stiles father is the sheriff and could arresst and charge Derek for statutory rape and thus make Derek a sex offender who has to register as such for he rest of his life.
A bit of realism people please. I’d rather Stiles be with Danny or someone his own age and Derek be with an ACTUAL grown up… ya know… like HE IS. Showing a grown man in a sexual relationship with a minor teen boy would be a disservice to the gay community. A good sized portion of America thinks we’re all child predators and broadcasting something like that wouldn’t help.
…I’m sorry, but have you SEEN what is on TV lately (true blood, vampire diaries [because a relationship b/w a high school student and a few hundred year old vampire is sooooo much better]) ? There are way worse things airing now days. The same people will always nit-pick at any same sex relationships, but when its heterosexual apparently its ok and things just get swept under the mat because its so commonly aired. On top of that, no one said it had to be sexual. At the crawl-speed at which Stiles and Derek are moving at, I’d think Stiles would be 18 by the time their romantic relationship actually reached sex (because we have denial, identity crisis, and all of that fun stuff to look forward to lol).

As much of a Sterek shipper as I am, because seriously who doesn’t like the idea of having two antagonistic characters fall for each other, I definately think having this rumoured love interest for Derek will be good.
I find it comical how fandoms have such mob tendencies. Whatever happens I will still be watching the show.

Yeah, this outdoes even the Twi-hards. As a Trekkie who does hand to hand combat over the burning issue of who Benedict Cumberbach is playing (it better be Gary Mitchell! Khan would be a disaster of ultimate proportions!) it’s fun to watch people get bent outta shape about stuff I don’t even understand (what planet is a Sterek from anyway?)
I like it. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Derek needs something.
Derek needs someone, and that someone is Stiles
The actor who plays Stiles is over 18 years of age anyways, so showing a relationship between the two would not be illegal. Personally, I think that Stiles is overdue for birthday on the show. How about some great birthday sex, it could be Derek’s present to Stiles and the show’s present to the viewers.
