NBC’s already rebooting Hannibal. How is this not that?
Because nobody is going to watch Hannibal.
Meh.
Better than most of the garbage on the airways though.
The pilot was the best I saw from this past batch. This trailer doesn’t really seem to do it justice. I’m very excited for this show.
Cannot wait. May get old as a series but still…looks pretty tense and terrific.
Seven meets Silence of the Lambs… good concept and looks like its executed really well. Big congrats for network television (and the producers for pushing it thru). Keep ‘em coming — the first on a network show that looks worth tuning into!
I agree with you. This is the show I’ve wanted to see all year. They really do need more like it.
Best pilot of the season and everyone at the top of their game. Fox is holding onto their Full House after Fringe ends.
Rumour has it they’re planning a Fringe movie. Let’s all hope and pray!
Hannibal is a recycled rehash just like every other NBC product while this pilot was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Fox can rebuild after Mob Doctor and Kiefer’s failure with this. Bacon is unbelievable and this is Williamson’s best work.
Unlike anything you’ve ever seen before? The serial killer who’s “making art” with his murders? The alcoholic, haunted detective who “got too close” and then gets sucked back in “one more time” when his “greatest nemesis” is on the loose?
Maybe it’s executed well and none of that matters, but this trailer looks like cheaply shot TV and every other Lifetime serial killer movie (swapped out with a male lead). But you’ve never seen this before? Ever?
Seen it. It works. In a big way. Bacon holds the screen. Yes there are elements that feel all too familiar but it seems to be doing it on purpose. And the right way. Because — holy f@ck — does it work. ! I jumped several times and the whole concept was super creepy.
Hm, so is this what Millennium should have been?
The Following looks like it could be the best new drama of the season..which as of now that title goes to CWs Arrow.
Correct on both counts.
This series is not going to work.
A waste of Bacon.
Good luck to Kevin. Looks like a good show. But I will not watch. I just can’t take any more of those shows where they torture people. That is the reason why I stopped watching Criminal Minds. I understand Mandy Patinkin who basically said that he signed to a police show where they will solve crimes. But in the end he was exhausted with all those tortures every week.
I like good crime shows. I like Castle, CSI, Forgotten, Longmire, Elementary, Law and Order and other where they have ordinary murder. I was watching Criminal Minds for a few seasons because it’s a good crime show. But just like Mandy Patinkin I was exhausted with all those maniacs and tortures in every episode. I also stopped watchung Law&Order SVU. Can’t watch all those rapes and abuse in every episode anymore.
And here is Following with another maniac… Good luck to Kevin but I will not watch.
The cast, writing, production value of the pilot is big screen on this. Fox has a hit. I agree I jumped off the couch freaking the hell out. Bacon is phenomenal but Purefoy is the breakout here.
Just from the previews I’d say you’re correct. A hero is nothing without a villain. This could be the best show since 24.
Very good concept and James Purefoy is class…
Sounds a little charlie manson-ish to me
That’s the point. There’s a cult leader with an army of killers. They could get a hundred episodes easy.
Please can someone tell me the artist and the song that it played in the tv trailor for this programme! It’s driving me mad its an amazing song but I can’t find anywhere who sings it!
