Wow that one will be tough to pull off. I was bored with those people 50 seconds in.
What, no Charlie Parker…no muted Miles Davis ?
The choice to not use period music (at least in this trailer) probably saved the producer some $$$, but the soundtrack really isn’t my idea of the period. Period!
As usual, Kristen Stewart has the warmth of a freezing glass of Gatorade during the coldest night of the year in Fairbanks.
I re-read On The Road a couple years ago and was amazed at how obnoxious I found Dean Moriarty compared to when I first read the book in high school. This trailer did nothing to assuage that feeling about the entire book/story/movie. 10 years ago I’d have been ecstatic that this movie was coming out. Now? Meh.
Kristen Stewart: Worst Actress of her Generation
Has the most Razzie nominees for worst actress too. Don’t understand why people keep hiring her.
Care to exaggerate a little? Oh, wait, you did that.
Now, I couldn’t last more than 1 minute watching any of those Twilight movies, and I don’t think she’s a brilliant actress, but to say the worst of her generation is simply hyperbole. She was good in Into the Wild, Adventureland and Panic Room. Decent in The Runaways and not great in Snow White and the Huntsman. I haven’t seen her in anything else, but that in itself tells me she’s not a horrible actress.
As for her Razzie nominations, those were all for the Twilight movies, which were pretty bad. And that’s what they tend to nominate. Actors who were in bad movies. The fact that 11 actors who have won Oscars also won Razzies tells me it’s probably not the best indication of an actor’s worth.
Wow…what a bunch haters on this site. Am I crazy, or was that trailer kind of awesome? I dug it. And Kristen Stewart is decent when working with good directors. Thought she was great in “Into the Wild”
I was wondering why garrett hedlund hadnt been popping up in any best actor lists- it’s been out here in Australia for ages and so I just assumed the u.s had it already.
An amazing performance in a good film, he 100% carries the movie and at least deserves a nomination.
We’re all just going to have to pretend that Twilight never happened. Kristen Stewart is great.
I think it looks great. Can’t wait.
Kristen is not a bad actress at all, people confuse her as an actress in general with her performances in the TWILIGHT’s, which are chilly and dull (like the movies). And for the record she was cast in this before the first Twi even came out, it’s been a long road for Road.
This trailer is exceptionally tight montage and a credit to the craft of trailer editing. It takes a real master of the craft to elevate such an indie film to the life-affirming emotional high we feel here. One of the best trailers of the year. Congratulations to the trailer house.
