ABC has put in development Rookie, a single-camera cop comedy from Will Gluck and Tosh.0 director Scott Zabielski. Written by Community co-executive producer Andy Bobrow and produced by Sony Pictures TV and Gluck’s studio-based Olive Bridge, Rookie centers on a twentysomething woman who tries to reinvent herself by becoming a cop, and finds a surrogate family amongst the disparate group of police she works with. Bobrow and Gluck executive produce, with Olive Bridge’s Richie Schwartz co-executive producing. Zabielski will serve as consulting producer. In addition to his Hollywood career, Zabielski, who has been tapped to helm New Line’s Police Academy remake, serves as a reserve police officer in West Hollywood. It’s been another strong selling season for Gluck and Olive Bridge, with multiple put pilot commitments and a 22-episode order from NBC for a comedy starring Michael J. Fox. UTA reps Gluck, Bobrow and Zabielski who is managed by Underground.

this sounds cool. Tosh.O is the highest rated show on Comedy Central so this has gotta be funny. Good work.
Will Gluck is a genius.
I don’t know about the other guys but Andy Bobrow is a really good writer, a decent chap, and may or may not still have a fine snow globe collection.
So this is what’s next for you, Andy.
Andy Bobrow is one of the smartest and funniest guys in town. I expect great things.
Go, Andy! Love this man with all my heart!
