Madhouse. Wow. Those guys crushed it.
How do you have 1/2 script on the Black List?
uhhh… Two writers with different reps?
Really? You couldn’t figure that out?
Madhouse?
The same guys who put out the Marvel Anime series on X-Men, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Blade all written by Warren Ellis?

I’d be interested to find out how many of those Madhouse scripts sold, as the majority look to be intelligent, historical fare aimed at adults. The nerve!
These results seem fishy – never even heard of Madhouse.
They had projects written by two separate clients open at #1 this year (CONTRABAND and SAFE HOUSE), and have been involved in a few of the larger spec sales this year (BLACK BOX, going for 7 figures, being one them). Do some research before tossing around accusations.
Then your hearing must be terrible.
Hearing must be terrible — good one! Still seems shady.
What seems “shady” exactly? Besides the frontal lobe of your brain.
Then you must not be in the business.
wow…I hope you’re not an aspiring writer/filmmaker. That’s like an aspiring football player saying they’ve never heard of the Cowboys.
Love the whole K/P team. Those guys work their asses off for their clients.
Yup, and if the rumors are true about who they are going to be bringing onboard, they’re about to get a whole lot better.
Apparently… they voted 4-5 times everyone else!

Madhouse is Adam Kolbrenner. They guys is terrific. When he believes in a writer he sticks with them. He’s crushes most on that list.
Just don’t turn your back on Adam.
Tell us more. Sounds catty and informative…
Been w/Madhouse forever. Watched them shift their focus in the last few years to helping clients write specs that’ll sell, and they’re clearly good at it. Smart team, mainstream sensibility that matches that exec sensibility.
Brillstein’s still in business?
Wait .. Madhouse is a Japanese Anime company who put out The Supernatural Anime, not to mention other anime.. and Blacklist ? I thought that was a bad thing in hollywood. I don’t follow this.
Adam is definitely more of the hustler at Madhouse, but Robyn is really the soul. Her clients talk about her with a great deal of love. Two or three of the Madhouse scripts on the list are hers as well.
If I were a lit manager I wouldn’t be bragging about being on this list.
You’re here because you didn’t sell that “great script”.
What are you talking about? A lot of the scripts on this list were huge spec sales this year.
Madhouse friggin’ dominated this year. They also bring the most marketable spec material to the town compared to the others.
Love the guys at K/P, but Madhouse is just getting warmed up. They’ll be topping this list for years to come. I’d bet money on that.
Madhouse over KPE. That’s adorable. Team KPE has been murdering it for years and continues to grow. Their roster slaps Madhouse’s in the face.
A roster of crappy rom-coms and middlin’ dramas we’ve all seen before.
