The ratings ascend of A&E‘s breakout hit Duck Dynasty continues, with the Season 2 finale Wednesday drawing a massive audience of 6.5 million to become A&E’s most-watched telecast ever. The episode also set new A&E records in adults 18-49 (3.9 million), adults 25-54 (3.8 million) and 18-34 (2.0 million). Among adults 18-49 and 18-34, Duck Dynasty was the top show on Wednesday night — cable or broadcast. “Duck Dynasty represents the best of A&E’s unique brand of storytelling, showcasing authentic and engaging characters,” said A&E president Bob DeBitetto.
In Season 2, Duck Dynasty has grown by 139% in total viewers, 141% in adults 18-34, 136% in adults 25-54 and 127% in adults 18-49 vs. its first season. A&E was Wednesday night’s top cable network among total viewers and 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

Still do not get this show. Boring as hell.
Boring ?? with a name like Boris I can see why; do a little homework and read up about this family – very interesting how they got started. btw – if you don’t get it and think its boring, then turn the channel and watch something else – i’m sure scooby doo is on somewhere.
Not a fan of reality shows although at least the cast of this one all seem like genuinely decent people (unlike most others). True that doesn’t necessarily make for a lot of drama, however.
I turned up my nose at it at first, but my husband kept insisting it was funny. I caved and watched and loved it. Even when you can tell things are scripted, it’s still funny. They seem like genuinely good people who are just trying to run their company and raise good kids.

Don’t watch it! I never have seen a show where people all over are talking and laughing about. Finally a show that an entire family can enjoy.

For any one that has a comment about this show being fake. Crawl out from under that rock youve been living under and figgure aout that all “REALITY” is not reality. This show is a sit com, LIKE THE OFFICE. Shot in a reality format. It is based loosly on events that have hapend to this family and then scripted for TV. Its a great show, and the guys on this show are better “actors” than most on TV today. Do they Really own a duck call busniess? YES, Do they have a huge family? YES, are they from Monroe LA? YES. Do all the things they go through real? NO, but pay close attention to the message that they put out at the end of each episode. You could learn a lesson or two. Unlike most of the other crap thats on TV today. You want reality? DONT WATCH TV AT ALL:) All of this being said is not opinion its fact. I work in both “REALITY” and “SCRIPTED” Telivision. Ive seen and shot on shows for all major networks. If your looking for a great faimly show that has a little bit to learn, this one is for you. Its about family and that is real.

I love it. Too funny! All the filth on tv today that is our “entertainment ” is teaching our children so many negative things. This show may not be the most educational show on tv, that is redundant to even think about TV=EDUCATIONAL. HA HA but it shows real people thanking the Lord for everything he has bestowed upon their lives and we could all learn something from that! I’m ready for new episodes!
My husband and I love Duck Dynasty. It is such a refreshing change from anything else on TV. Our grandchildren can be in the room when it is on and we have no worries that they will hear profanity. The stories are so funny with a good underlying message ( like the Andy Griffith show ). We hope this show is on for many seasons . It makes us feel happy, happy, happy:-)

Am 67 years old and was so disgusted and tired of so much “porn, crap” and violence on TV–just quit watching. Children got me hooked on DD and now spend more time laughing until I loose my breath and sides hurt, than I have in a very, very long time. What cleansing! Lord, I don’t care if some scenarios are scripted; this family and their staff have a unique way of expressing situations real or staged, that a professional could take lessons from. Hope the show goes a bit longer and keeps us entertained as much as they are able. Reruns are just as funny.
Yes sir I agree, I love wtaching this show it cracks me up. Reminds me when I was young kid growing up we all have an uncle Sye, and brothers that challenge each other. Stern but great father, it brings back memories for sure. We live in a fast aced world with a lot of violence, this family is god caring and have fun. Who cares what others think, these guys are down to earth and I love them all. Kay and Phill are great parents the all ther rest of them are just as great. I would love to be living my life like they do, but I am sure like all they have down times to. Great job and keep the laughs coming I just wished there was more new shows from these guys.
I love this show positive attutides and fun loving people im glad someone is finaly not afraid to mention god. and jesus and to say marry christmas its crazy how this country has gottonaway from cretian words so not to offend some people. so to all persons involved with this show keep up the good work and will be waiting for season 3.
