I really want to like ENLIGHTENED. Love Laura Dern. Diane Ladd’s not bad. Luke Wilson – ok. Mike White is funny. But it’s just kind of…. dull as a series.
Smartest, funniest show on tv. Laura Dern is a genius. So glad it’s finally coming back. What took so long?
Show is brilliant
cant wait for it to come back…
and i dont even rep a single person on the show..
Jeff
This show is a bore. Sorry, wanted to like it as I do with most of HBO shows, but it ain’t any good.
Laura Dern plays Amy’s pain and mistakes to hilarious perfection. There’s no finer actor around. Good for HBO for sticking with this show.
The show isn’t dull. It’s a beautifully sad character driven series with flawed, realistic characters. I need to rematch season 1.
Love Enlightened and this second season looks good.
It’s one of the best series on TV. Truly character driven. Can’t wait for season 2.
Splendid Series. Quite a master work for all involved.
Love this show far more than the hours they have. It has so much to say about the state of existence. Dern is hilarious.
Not a superstar by HBO standards, but a solid performer.
Depending on what HBO has in the pipeline, ENLIGHTENED needs to step it up in the ratings.
Unless it has fans “high up” who are willing to fund 10 episodes every 15-18 months for the next few years.
Laura Dern is without equal. If HBO is smart, they’ll back this show and keep it going. She outshines every actor on television, network or otherwise. Hopefully they know how lucky they are to have her.
This show’s return is great news – even with its fantastic, off the wall elements, it is tuned into modern life in a way that the grand guignol period-set cable series don’t possess.
I won’t get into how many Congentivas and Cogentiva-people I encounter regularly in Los Angeles. Excellent show and an incredible cast.
I am thrilled this series will be back. There are the Amy Jellicoes in the world, stuck in corporate America who want to change things. True, she is still in her healing phase and comes across as unaware and a zealot. If Enlightened had come out in the ’90′s, I wonder if Amy would have gone the Wiccan/Neo-Pagan path? Picture Amy espousing on the Goddess to her mother or Connie!
