I’ve learned that TV presenters Kyle Martino and Becky Baeling are set as hosts of Fox‘s Stars In Danger: The High Dive two-hour reality special, which will air on Wednesday January 9. The two join Olympic diving medalist and commentator Troy Dumais, who will be providing expert commentary. The celebrity cast of the special includes Jersey Shore co-star JWoww, Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills‘ Kyle Richards, actor Antonio Sabato Jr. and former NFL star Terrell Owens. Fox greenlighted the Bunim/Murray-produced special based on the long-running German format in October, shortly after ABC gave a series order to the similar Celebrity Diving, which is scheduled to premiere March 19. After an intense training period, the eight celebrities in Stars In Danger will compete in a series of Olympic-style dives, including solo high diving and synchronized diving, from a variety of heights. Martino is a retired professional soccer player who works as a TV soccer color analyst. Baeling is an actress/TV host/singer.

One of the great treasures of the recent Apple vs. Samsung trial was the release of Samsung’s internal PowerPoint breakdown of the iPhone. Pages and pages of how Samsung needed to 1) learn the obvious, and then 2), basically copy Apple’s work.
I remember a FOX Network that truly took chances, and defined itself through choices, not reaction. Ah, but the landscape is changing. It’s only a few more years now, and then…
You’re naive if you don’t think every single company shamelessly copies from its competitors. Apple will have similar internal presentations to Samsung’s, as will every other company.
In this case, at least there’s some karmic justice: ABC bought the clone and Fox bought the original format.
My guess is that both will bomb, and Fox’s special is just to ensure that ABC’s version flops.
This is going to be such a huge failure that I wouldn’t be surprised if FOX apologized for even airing this crap in primetime.
And not a single fuck was given.
I will actually watch this show or at least a few minutes of one episode. I hope Fox brings back Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire?
God, I wish the Mayans would’ve been right….
thanks for mike darnell for helping us to remember how pathetic you are.
Kept checking my calendar to make sure that it wasn’t April 1… if all these reality people and those who had an acting job decades ago are stars, bring back Battelle oF the network stars… or just do reality ones..Housewives odd each city vsv each other could be a bravo show . Or they could do weekly …NY HW vs Shahs..JLewis vs Nene. Or JerswyShore vs Teresa… etc
On which planet are these people considered celebrities. I love the way Fox keeps lowering the bar on their very own horrible standards.
