EXCLUSIVE: The Hunger Games‘ Josh Hutcherson is negotiating to star with Benicio Del Toro in Paradise Lost, the drama about notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar that was written and will mark the directing debut of Life Of Pi’s Andrea di Stefano. Hutcherson is actually the principal character in the fact-based tale. He plays Nick, a young Irish surfer who visits his brother in Colombia. There he meets the love of his life — until he meets her uncle Pablo. The film will begin production in Panama in March.
Hutcherson, repped by ICM Partners and The Beddingfield Company, takes the job after wrapping Catching Fire, the second installment of The Hunger Games. He also lends his voice to the Fox Animation feature Epic.

You must be talking about some other Josh. As far as I can tell Hutcherson has not landed one single movie since getting The Hunger Games until now, while all his co-stars have.
Josh Hutcherson has been getting in a lot of movies besides The Hunger Games, examples: The Forger, Red Dawn (filmed four years ago but now in theaters) ETC. – because I can’t list them all.
Try again. The Forger, like Red Dawn, was filmed years before The Hunger Games. You can’t list them all because there aren’t any.
All the roles Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth had they got before ‘The Hunger Games’. They were already in the running or committed to do those roles.
I like Jennifer but for all her accolade, Liam Hemsworth IMDB seems more packed. Does that mean Liam Hemsworth is the better actor? Jennifer even lost a role to Kirsten Stewart recently!
Josh Hutcherson seems to space out his jobs, he doesn’t really take on too many projects in a year. I guess, he likes to have some time in his hands. Other than this he’s also in the running to star with Logan Lerman and rumors have been floating that he will be in the next Star Wars movie.
Why does that matter, maybe he is waiting on role that he likes, he is a good actor who has many ranges!
What does it matter if he isn’t doing back to back movies, he has been working since 9 years old, maybe he is being a little picky with the role he would like to take now!
The Pablo Escobar Vinny Chase movie looks like genius compared to this Last King of Scotland ripoff. The casting is very, very dodgy.

Jennifer Lawrence was nominated for an Oscar for one of her first major film roles. The only “acting” awards Josh will win will be based on the vote of hormonal teenage girls, who can’t see beyond his cute-ish face to the limited acted prowess beyond. Josh is one of those mass-produced teeny bopper stars whose parents thrust him into the business at an early age. Thirty years from now, no one will remember who he is.

Glad to see that Josh is trying to go to more mature dramatic roles rather then the ‘teen’ ones. The funny thing about Josh is that THG put him in the radar of a lot of people. It’s not just pre-adolescent teenagers who like him. There are a lot of older twenty/thirty somethings curious about this guy after THG. It’s a funny thing considering I thought I was alone in liking this guy (as an actor) for my age — then it turns out there were a lot of us ‘mature’ women who do.
Stop u guys. Jennifer and josh, both of them, have great movies, both of them r amazing actors. and it doesnt matter who’ll get an oscar or not.AND THEY R DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER!!!!!! So stop

Jennifer Lawrence has only been working in Hollywood for just about seven years and already hss an Oscar nomination under her belt (not to mention SAG, Globes,Indie Spirit, NBR, etc.,)and is about to land yet another Oscar nom. Lawrence has two franchises plus two other films that will keep her busy until 2016. Lawrence is also the most sought after actress of her generationand #1 on every director’s list….quality directors.

In this business its about quality over quantity. I’m happy to see that Josh is taking time to chose roles that interest him more than the huge paychecks he will receive.
Actually josh has done loads of movies, he’s been doing it for 10yrs! detention, epic, hunger games, red dawn, THIS film, journey to the mysterious island.and these are only the recent ones. anyway i love him, not just for his looks but his amazing acting skills.

Just need to point out that Josh Hutcherson starred in two of the top 25 grossing movies this year-(25) Journey 2 and (3) The Hunger Games so he can pull in the numbers when he’s in a movie and has the track record.
As far as not being on par with Benicio-well last year he was one of the stars in a movie that Benicio directed(7 Days in Havana) and now he will be acting alongside him.
Josh hutcherson has been in: firehouse dog, journey movies, zathura, hunger games, polar express, red dawn, bridge to terIbithia, detention, the kids are alright, little manhattan, cirque du freak, and featured in teen cribs:D etc.. so uhm.. Ya.. Tell me again that he hasn’t been in any movies since the hunger games again please:) ya. That’s right! He has! Love you josh!
