With the ICM buyout complete and the agency transformed into a partnership with a new name, ICM Partners, the company this morning unveiled its new logo, which will go live January 7. I hear it was met with approval by agency employees, who also received baseball caps with the new moniker.
Created by Los Angeles-based firm Bemis Balkind in consultation with artist Chuck Arnoldi and with input from ICM Partners leadership, the new logo keeps the blue hue with which ICM has long been associated while also adding a contemporary design twist to reflect the new stage in the agency’s evolution.

U G L Y and they aint got no alibi.
Phresh out the runway ICMP!!!!! love the new logo
Absolutely perfect, assuming ICM Parnters is a toothpaste.
“Created by Los Angeles-based firm Bemis Balkind in consultation with artist Chuck Arnoldi”
Really?
Who couldn’t have designed that in 5 minutes on their laptop?
Anyone with a lap top could do this logo…and, most likely, do it better. However, the $50,000 to $500,000 ICM Partners probably paid for the design makes the company feel better, and gives the logo design ‘value’….for them.
I’m sure the new logo will completely improve their status. hahaha
Its hard to fathom the level of hate in this town, a town built on creativity which shares nothing in common with hate.
I know! I wish I knew how much that design firm hosed, I mean charged, to create a logo like that. Probably five figures, which is about four figures too much.
I picked up one of those logos when I was at the hardware store getting paint samples.
Much better than UTA’s!
Better than UTA’s and Verve’s logos, but, yeah, that they paid a design firm for that is disturbing. My 5 year old could have done that on an iPad in 5 minutes.
very ugly.
love love
It is boring. And makes it seem like they are all about themselves and their self-aggrandising partnership, not their clients.
It seems that way because they are…
This will really help them sign more clients…. Keep on tryin’
Design twist?
Bottom line, it’s really good design.
The colors, size, tone, balance, perspective, font, spacing, etc., are all very good.
Well done, ICMP !
Soulless and corporate. Cold and institutional. Perfect for a biomedical company that specializes in freezing the human spleen. And not a big surprise, because only on the rarest of days does Hollywood dare to get outside the box and take any kind of creative risks that might actually be interesting or exciting. I wonder how many focus groups were tried before they got the blue “just right.”
I thought “Hollywood” was slang for film makers & actors & those who are represented… not the agents/agencies. Agencies ‘are’ corporate; they get their clients work. Well, some of them anyway.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the new logo. Peaceful yet powerful blue. Rock on. And yes, SOOOO much better than UTA’s.
I can’t believe how many comments this has generated. I guess the fact that this is a news item is asking for it.
Why must ICM partners put out a press release every time they do anything? If they cared more about their clients getting ink than themselves getting ink they’d be more successful….
The soothing blue tones will have a calming effect on clients who aren’t working.
I am a UTA client and almost left after they unveiled their new logo. Um, seriously, THESE are the people to whom I am entrusting my career? People who’s entire job it is to discern and champion creative output? Just…wow.
Well done ICM. It’s nothing earth-shattering but doesn’t scream trying-too-hard-hack-job either.
Sure you are.
I like it!
