Dead Accounts, in which Katie Holmes co-stars, is closing on January 6, nearly
two months early, according to media reports. Theresa Rebeck’s drama has received mixed to negative reviews since it opened at the Music Box Theatre on November 29. It was scheduled to end on February 24. Holmes plays the role of Lorna, a Cincinnati woman whose con-man brother Jack (Norbert Leo Butz), unexpectedly returns home from New York City with a secret. Holmes made her Broadway debut in the 2008 production of All My Sons. Her other credits include the 2005 feature film Batman Begins and TV’s Dawson’s Creek.

So,by all accounts
this play is dead
Most unappealing show title in the history of Broadway?
Katie Holmes should start looking at pilots scripts for next season. She’s great on TV and I’m sure lots of people would like to see her come back to it.
She’s one of those rare beauties that just gets better looking with age. She used to just be “cute” but she’s now a stunner, if I may say so myself.
On Opposite Day perhaps, “Straight Guy”.
I feel bad for her! She hasn’t had any success in a really long time. She should really consider going back to television.
I agree she is like a fine bottle of wine. She gets better by age and she should return to tv and maybe do an episode of the b in apt 23.
I wonder if Katie wold ever consider playing the female lead in an amazing tiny indie film for little to no pay; or would her ‘people’ put an immediate kibosh on that? Is Katie considering anything at this time?
Let me guess, “anonymous,” you’ve got just the script.
I’m sure he’s an excellent Broadway actor, but having a play called ‘Dead Accounts’, starring Holmes and Butz, just doesn’t scream “Must See”.
