Just days after Britain’s Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William announced they’re expecting their first child, Lifetime today said it has picked up Secrets Of The Royal Nursery. The one-hour special will run on December 13, right after Project Runway All-Stars. Spun Gold TV is producing for the network. Lifetime says the behind-the-scenes special will feature interviews with “numerous friends and family of the celebrity couple and leading Royal Family experts.” Secrets Of The Royal Nursery also will look at the couple’s relationship, the state of the Royals and potential baby names for the heir-to-be.

This is pathetic, and anyone who watches it is pathetic. A thirty-something year old woman (twenty-something? I don’t even know) is pregnant. Move on.

I care nothing for royalty in the U.K. But what saddens me in this event is the hospital where the Duchess was taken set no procedures in place to handle jokesters. I cannot imagine any important personage in a U.S. hospital being tended with such ineptness. It is said there will always be an England – but I can’t imagine why.
