It was time. Despite a blanket campaign surrounding the final season of MTV‘s Jersey Shore, the former ratings juggernaut whimpered to the finish line. Last night’s series finale drew 3.1 million viewers, a third of the audiences the reality series commanded in its heyday. It was up 55% from last week’s episode but down 33% from the current season’s premiere and the lowest-rated season finale ever. Among adults 12-34, the Jersey Shore finale posted a still-potent 2.8 rating. Besides turning around the MTV fortunes and becoming an instant pop culture phenomenon when it burst into the scene in 2009, Jersey Shore spawned two spinoff series: Snooki & JWoww, which was renewed for a second season, and The Paulie D Project, which is unlikely to return.

Thank goodness this pile of turd of a show has finally seen its ending, but hoping those ridiculous spinoffs will also see their doom sooner rather than later and these peasants can finally stop polluting the TV screens across the globe.
Even though jersey shore is over it left many if not most empty hearted and left us tears well at least i cried it was sad like it shocked me to know my favorite tv show of all time is over and not returning and then hurricane sandy like why of all places did it hit seaside heights NJ LIKE HONESTLY THAT’S NOT HAPPENING but it did i just hope once the boardwalk in seaside heights NJ gets back up and running we will get to see the guidos and guidets we watched and learned from as a 23 yr old fan i have major hope for another season once NJ GETS UP AND RUNNING.
