EXCLUSIVE: Glee is bringing another new face to the mix. I’ve learned that the Fox dramedy, known for breaking fresh talent, has cast young British actor Oliver Kieran-Jones in a recurring role. (The show tends to cast newcomers as recurring and then promote those whose characters pop to regulars.) Kieran-Jones will play the leader of the glee club at NYADA, which new student Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) is interested in joining. (With the rigorous training at NYADA, do other college glee clubs even stand a chance?!) With the addition of a glee club, the New York storyline of the show will now more closely resemble the one in Ohio where New Directions is currently picking up the pieces after their shocking loss at sectionals.
Kieran-Jones’ only previous U.S. TV credit was an arc on the Showtime/BBC comedy Episodes as assistant-turned-filmmaker Andrew. He has extensive stage credits in the UK, including co-starring alongside Kevin Spacey in Richard II and alongside Ralph Fiennes in Julius Caesar. Kieran-Jones is a graduate of the prestigious LAMDA, which is a real-life, London version of NYADA. He is repped by UTA, UK’s United Agents and managed by Inspire Entertainment.

Another Inspire client on their way! Congrats!
How old is he? He looks like he’s in his 30s.
I was about the same thing. But glad Kurt finally get somebody else for a change.
The beauty of college: doesn’t matter how old you are, as people of all ages attend. If they hired him for the McKinley kids…then yeah, we’d have a problem Houston.
How come every time a Jason Spire client books a job (Ben Walker in that HBO series), magically there’s a posting from an “agent” about how great a manager Spire is? Hmmmm.
Maybe cuz that agent, probably from Paradigm, wants to sign their clients??
This kid’s a star. I’ve been tracking him for a while.
He can act. That’s all I care about for now.
It sounds like he’s a genuine actor, which is fantastic.
It doesn’t matter if he can act or not. I think Glee will lose a substantial amount of viewers if Klaine is trully over. There is already an uproar and several have quit watching. There may not be a season 5 at this rate.
Shipper logic. There IS an uproar and people HAVE stopped watching, but those two things aren’t necessarily related. Although maybe I’m being a little too harsh, since shippers are the only ones who haven’t given up on the show… But where does it say that he’s going to be Kurt’s love interest, anyway? All it says is that he runs a glee club.
Ryan Murphy has already said in interviews that there are at LEAST 4 more seasons left for Glee, so I wouldn’t worry. Especially since true Glee fans will continue watching no matter who is together and who breaks up. People who stop watching shouldn’t give up so easily cause who knows what will happen in the end.
Four years with the cast that made it great? Or four years where we phase out greats like Kurt, or Blaine for that matter?
I like him, but I want Klaine back
