Playing himself during a skit parody of BET on a show titled “What Up With That?” the characteristically voluble Jackson appeared to utter the f-word and did say “bullshit”. Jackson later tweeted “I only said FUH not FUCK! K was sposed to cut off da BULLSHIT, blew it!!” Here is an unbleeped YouTube clip:
You can watch NBC’s full clip of the skit which has both utterances muted after the jump:

I was more offended by that dancing guy in the red Adidas track suit.
An adult on an adult show said a naughty word that aired after midnight. This is a story?
How terrible! If only we had real things to be socked by…
You would think he’d have learned how to properly censor himself by now. You don’t wait for the other actor to cut you off, you cut yourself off. Don’t blame Keenan jackass.
Samuel L. Jackson did what any actor worth her/his salt would do in the moment, scripted or improvised: he kept going until his partner cut him off. Keenan missed his cue, but he got a good moment in when he said “Come on now…that costs money” after Sam said “This is some bullshit.”
This crap isn’t shocking anymore.
It’s just Sam wanting his name in headlines. Also, Sam, no nomination for Django. Wrong year. Harvey Weinstein should’ve put Django out next summer. A summer release of Django would’ve been a box office bonanza.
@Nerd. He didn’t expect Keenan to *censor* him, he expected him to follow the script. In acting sometimes lines are written to be interrupted mid sentence. It seems that Keenan missed his cue and made Jackson look like a jerk.
He obviously did expect Keenan to censor him. It’s right there in his Tweet.
“In acting sometimes lines are written to be interrupted mid sentence.” If that isn’t censoring him what is? You don’t just say the entire curse word and expect the other actor to drown you out. You cut yourself off regardless of when the other actor says their line and hopefully the timing works. That goes double for live TV.
Yes, Keenan missed his cue but why does that mean Sam had to say the whole word?
Sam is a liar and a coward. He should own up to it and be proud of it but instead he tries to weasel his way out of it. NBC should force Sam to pay the inevitable FCC fine they will be hit with.
LOL @ the keyboard tough guy^^^. Keep trolling!
What happened to the seven second delay all shows are supposed to have? And will the FCC sue NBC just as it did when Janet Jackson flashed a breast during the Superbowl? I’m no prude but Samuel L. Jackson has become a cliche of himself – all he does is say the F word. Anyone remember when he used to act?
And remember when SNL used to be funny?
Check out Django. Sam still acts.
When an actor acts the same way in every movie, they’re not acting. He’s not better than other hacks like De Niro and Pacino. They start off good then debase themselves in junk. And Django Unchained is pure junk thanks to Tarantino who has yet to grow as a filmmaker and instead trots out the same schtick every time. Yawn.
The fact this is news, that an adult said fuck at 12:30 at night , is what is wrong with this fucking country.
Never met him, but Samuel Jackson seems like quite an ass. Correct me if I’m wrong. Needs to expand his roles too, seems like he’s playing the same character in all 65 films he does a year.
Never met you, but you seem like a self-righteous elitist. Correct me if I’m wrong. Need to reduce your role as an anonymous commentator in all Post A Comment sections on web sites you visit a year.
Quite literally ran into him at Obama’s Inaguration. Before I could get an apology out, he smiled, apologized kindly, and went on his way.
If I could dance like Sudekis I would never stop
@Nerd, he didn’t say the whole word. He FUUUUUU…. until he realized Keenan wasn’t going to jump in like he was supposed to. Also when its scripted, it isn’t censorship. Censorship is when they bleep something out or dub a different word, or don’t allow them to use the word at all. Like when Lily said the “f word” on Modern Family. Also, you must not have any experience acting otherwise you’d understand that the scripted mid sentence interruption is as commonly used as people interrupting each other in real life. Which also isn’t censorship, its just plain interrupting.
Sam’s curse words were the funniest part of that pathetic lame terrible boring overly long sketch. It was at least 3 minutes too long. They lack the ability to edit their own work they think everything they do is hilarious and it’s obvious the show is overdue for a drastic overhaul.
There will be n fine. They are in the safe harbor time period. No fines t be had just angry advertisers. The skit also wasn’t funny. Why have Sam in a skit and give him almost nothing to do.
Sam’s shtick has gotten old.
There won’t be any fucking FCC fine.
The SNL moment was embarassing. I thought Samuel L was unusually good in Django. But you’re right, otherwise, that movie is incredibly flatulent.
