• Sounds like typical liberal BS. I don’t dispute, if humans treat the planet badly, bad things are to come.
  But as to Nevins saying, “The recent devastation on the East Coast is a tragic reminder of the direct link between our daily lives and climate change,” give me a break. What are you, Nevins, a scientist? Or a TV programmer? Where’s the proof that this devastation is the result of climate change and human behavior?
  What about past climate catastrophes on record from decades ago?
  Why is this one different?

  • There was a hurricane on Halloween. In New York City. As opposed to August in Miami. The Earth has gotten warmer, as evidenced by the melting polar ice caps, and our weather is getting more extreme. Yelling insults is not a solution.

• I wonder if they’ll try and explain the cause of the Great Dust Bowl back in the 1930′s. One year seen 37 straight days of 100 degrees or hotter in Western Nebraska, Western Kansas, the Panhandle of Oklahoma, West Texas and Eastern Colorado.

  Must have been all of those SUV’s, and big pickup trucks that caused it. Right?

    You surely have intentionally never had any children, live very simply, walk or bike everywhere, always bring your own reusable shopping bags and otherwise live a perfectly sustainable, carbon-neutral life. Never buying indulgences from some Carbon oligarch, I mean carbon offsets, for your jet-setting, SUV-driving, multiple large home-owning lifestyle.

    Or are you like so many other hypocritical anti-humans who espouse mass poverty and death (for “other people”) so that the Earth Mother can finally be rid of her ” excess humans problem” while splitting your time between your two floor Park Ave. penthouse overlooking Central Park, a villa in Tuscany, and in a 12,000 square foot home on the beach in Malibu?

    I personally enjoy the dweebs who claim “science” as their support for man made global warming but refute the actual historic data like the Dust Bowl, the retreat of the Greenland Ice Sheet revealing agriculture and the fact that we used to be covered with ice during the Ice Age. My SUV did not cause the melting then, and it is not causing it now.

• I’m canceling my Showtime subscription. I intentionally do not subscribe to HBO any longer because of their majority leftist programming, but I do have a cable package that includes Showtime and Starz.(though I rarely watch it) Now I have incentive(excuse) to also put a lifetime ban on Showtime.

  The thing about so-called man-made global warming is even if true(it’s not), Russia, India and China aren’t altering their habits, so if the West cut back it doesn’t matter. Again, it’s turning into a religion where we must not omit carbon to please the sky god or satisfy some OCD, because bicycling to work or driving a coal-powered Prius isn’t making a difference. Again, you can cut back all you want, people in China will make up for it.
