Spike TV has greenlit new seasons of reality series Ink Master and Tattoo Nightmares. Season three of Ink Master will debut in the summer of 2013 with 13 one-hour episodes. The 26 new episodes of freshman Tattoo Nightmares will run in 2013. Both series will go back into production early in 2013.

Season two (through 8 episodes) of Ink Master is averaging 1.8 million viewers and has improved the time slot by 105% in adults 18-49. Ink Master, a competition for tattoo artists, is hosted by music and tattoo aficionado Dave Navarro and judged by tattoo artists Chris Nunez  and Oliver Peck. The show is produced for Spike by Original Media, with Charlie Corwin and Andrea Richter serving as Executive Producers. Premiering in October 2012 (through 7 episodes), Tattoo Nightmares is averaging 1.5 million viewers and has improved the timeslot by 187% in adults 18-49. The show is produced by 495 Prods., with SallyAnn Salsano and Joel Zimmer as Executive Producers.  The series showcases real people with really bad tattoos who seek the help of some of the best cover-up artists in the business to fix them.
