When it is relaunches in January, CBS TV Distribution’s entertainment newsmagazine The Insider will not only have a new name, omg!Insider, but also a new co-host. Thea Andrews has been named co-anchor of omg!Insider alongside Kevin Frazier beginning in January 2013. Also joining omg!Insider in January as on-air correspondents are Mary Kitchen and Yahoo’s Michael Yo.
Andrews will replace Brooke Anderson, who is leaving after one year. Anderson will become a correspondent for The Insider‘s companion newsmagazine Entertainment Tonight. Andrews also hails from ET, having served as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and a host for Entertainment Tonight Weekend. Andrews has also covered sports for ESPN and ABC Sports and has hosted a variety of sports, reality, award and game shows such as ESPN’s Cold Pizza, CMT’s Next Superstar, Top Chef Canada, and The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Red Carpet Show for TNT. Most recently, Yo was the host of The Yo Show On Yahoo!, which launched in April 2012. He is best known for his work on the E! programs Chelsea Lately, The Daily 10, E! News, Kourtney And Khloe Take Miami and his own show Yo On E! as well as correspondent roles on Extra, Showbiz Tonight and Today. Kitchen was the entertainment anchor for City TV based in Toronto, where she anchored live nightly entertainment reports across the entire network. She appeared weekly on Breakfast Television as well as the primetime series Canada’s Got Talent. Also joining omg!Insider are Kristen Aldridge (omg! NOW), Keltie Colleen, Nina Parker and Theo Von as contributors.

The changes suck, from the name to the format didn’t you already try this format. I stopped watching Access Hollywood to watch the new an improved The Insiders. What happen to everything will be the same except the name? Love Kevin & Brooke, what about Debbie? She works well with Kevin & the show.

I love Kevin and Brooke together as well. They had great chemistry and were the reason I watched the Insider. So sad!
I am gutted that Brooke Anderson has left Insider! Her and Kevin had a brilliant rapport – or did I miss something, or WOT! At least she’s skipped over to ET with the wonderful Chris Jacobs. And, as others have said here, the name change is THE PITS!! It sounds absolutely tacky! I have loved the Insider for as long as it’s been on, but that’s all right – if it turns out to be tacky or pretentious, I won’t need to watch or record it! Such a shame!

This was a good show with interesting people, now it looks like something Snookie thought up (especially the name) I’ll try one or two and then probably change to cable
Soooo sorry to hear about Brooke…I just love her. I hope to see her on ET or any other programs. She is a delight to watch.I will miss her.

I miss Brooke on the insider! How about the insider give us some real “Insider” info and tell us what happened to Brooke? She was an asset to that show and if they “let her go” it was a mistake.
Watching the premiere and it is awful.. Worse than the low rates insider was. Never even heard of omg although I hear it’s super popular. The on air talent chemistry is zero. Their big get was snook I & jwoww promoting their reality show… The insider has gone thru so many format changes, voters viewers heads are spinning… Don’t think they should’ve kept the name; Kevin Frazier is the only tie. The show has been the lowest rated a nd has had no consistency. All Theo keep saying is check the omg website… I’m so so so so bored at what I’m seeing
Just finished watching the new show, and I couldn’t agree more with the others. The new name is horrible; the only thing good about it is that it echoes my reaction as I was watching. The format is horrible! What I found so terrible about it is that it’s too BUSY- too much is happening and it’s happening too fast. The pace of the reports is frenetic! And, like the others, I miss BrookeAnderson. She was a total asset to the show, a real class act! What were they thinking? None of the other females comes close to her in personality or delivery. The producers sure messed up on this call!
I miss Brooke Anderson also. This new show doesn’t let Kevin get a word in. She needs to shut her mouth. She is very annoying.
I couldn’t agree with you more. The new gal is extremely annoying to hear. I have stopped watching the show because it just isn’t the same.
Amen! you took the words out of my mouth lol. This new girl seems like she is more interested in getting her camera time than she is in working with Kevin. Kevin is now overshadowed by all this squawking around him. Poor guy. i say we make a Facebook page entitled, “Bring Back Brooke!” Maybe if we all band together they executives will listen. I am tired of watching these shows that don’t care what their viewers think or want in a program. I want a show that delivers the news and make it fun. This OMG Insider is a hot mess and i will not be watching!!
I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW FORMAT! I Loved Brooke Anderson and Kevin together. I will not be watching anymore. This format is too busy. if I wanted to watch the “view’ I would watch The View! This new format has everyone Jockeying for attention. Before it was a simple format and the point was brilliantly delivered. Kevin and Brooke had a great rapport and they really helped bolster the other one. They were believable. I don’t like the name, the stage or Brooke’s replacement. You ever hear of that saying, “If ain’t broke don’t fix it.” You should have listened. Me and my friends all agree this is not a show worth watching anymore. Bring back Brooke!! I’ll be watching Bill Bush instead. He and Kit have way better chemistry then this group of misfits!
really enjoyed brooke and kevin. they were real people. never phony. they were refreshing. hate this new format. will probably stop watching. sorry. would like to see a revisit to the hosts.
really messed up when spilt brooke and kevin.those new guys are too loud and proud have taken over the show from kevin ..he would do better alone than with that bunch ..bring brooke back

What is CBS thinking? I’ve watched the Insider and then ET forever… I don’t know what demographic they’re after but there are too many people on the panel and Theo and and especially Michael Yo are just annoying. I guess they think they’re funny but they act juvenile and silly. Not the least bit enjoyable to watch … after all this time I have switched to Extra.

made a mistake in my first comment … wasn’t saying Thea Andrews was annoying … there was another guy on the panel tonight that thought he was funny (but he wasn’t) I thought his name was Theo??? I’m sure you can figure out who was on tonight. FYI Kevin Frazer is a pleasure to watch … professional and he doesn’t try too hard … It all comes natural to him … get Michael Yo off!!!

Watched Insider and enjoyed the chemistry between Kevin and Brooke very much that I was never even tempted to watch the other channel! Now, everything is wrong.. from the name to the people trying desperately to mesh. Kevin must feel like this is a bad dream. Fix it! Go back to the way it was unless you want a steady stream of new names, new hosts and low ratings. Mistakes can be fixed.
I am upset with the comment made by Thea on Tuesdays show referencig Jesus and Mary Magdaline. I think you owe Catholics an apology for that crude remark.
It is unfortunate that this show has changed, and not for the better. The worst part of it is Michael Yo. He is corny, always ‘over the top’ and ‘on’ when talking about anything. He is hard to tolerate. I sense that Kevin feels a real annoyance with him too. The show is no longer good, but better when Michael is not on it.
