Showtime just released a first combined trailer for its two new dramas Ray Donovan and Masters Of Sex, which will premiere next year. Ray Donovan stars Liev Schreiber as fixer Ray Donovan, who does the dirty work for LA’s top power players. Jon Voight plays his father. Masters Of Sex stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as the real-life pioneers of the science of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson.

Am I the only one who thinks RAY DONOVAN looks like a Hollywood-set version of SCANDAL? Kind of similar territory.

Ray Donovan looks like it’ll be good. Not really interested in Masters of Sex; looks like another excuse to show a bunch of sex scenes on a premium channel. Then again, it might turn out to be pretty good.
Dang… RD looks legit. They both look good. Showtime is finally moving ahead of basic cable and inching into HBO territory.
RAY DONOVAN looks amazing. I’m really happy to see that POOCH HALL (formerly on “The Game” for BET)is in this, hope he gets a chance to shine.
Actually, it’s not “formerly of The Game”. When Ray Donovan was picked up, Pooch Hall and Tia Mowry Hardrict were written out of the Game during the season finale.
The show went on to hire Jay Ellis and Lauren London to replace the departing actors and characters. But, in August, we learned Hall would be returning for the next season.
So, he’ll be starring in both shows.

The Masters of Sex footage felt different than the music accompanying it. It seemed like it was making sex seem kind of boring – Less about seduction and more about science. I hope we won’t see scientists seducing each other using facts and figures. People will tune in though just because “sex” is in the title.
‘Ray Donovan’ does look good. Kind of has a ‘Michael Clayton’ vibe, an electrifying suspense thriller if ever there was one.

Ray Donovan looks kicking’. Glad to see Katherine Moennig in it. The girl was stellar as Dr. Miranda Foster in the cancelled CBS medical drama Three Rivers I’ve missed seeing her.
