As the third season of NBC’s The Voice came to a close tonight, the network launched the first promo for the next cycle, introducing new coaches Usher and Shakira, who are stepping in for Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. In the comedic promo, the newbies are given a ride by returning coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, with The Voice host Carson Daly also making a cameo.

Cute last 30 seconds i suppose, but getting there was painful. So little energy. Makes me think the new judges will be a bit of a snooze fest. Shouldn’t a teaser promo want to make you excited?
Season 3 proved the show lacks credibility and its ever changing rules was manifactured to have Hey Monday’s Cassadee Pope win. NBC is so desperate to have a star that they allowed her to be on the show even though Hey Monday had a Top 25 album, a Top 40 single, and did headlining tours. The show is clearly staged and I won’t be watching season 4 regardless of their ads or new judges.
Please end all of these shows and bring back scripted television.
