Looks very promising. Glad Cruise is back in the Sci-Fi genre. Minority Report was awesome and this looks very cool too
F’ing A this looks good. Absolutely no interest whatsoever in JACK REACHER, but this looks very exciting, and Tom Cruise doesn’t appear to ruin it. Can’t wait.
This looks great, but I wonder if by now when Tom Cruise attaches to something, studio execs just reflexively ‘note’ the following draft to include a scene of him playing or enjoying sports…
I’ll go see that!
It doesn’t look great, but it’s science fiction and appears to be quite original. And I liked Rise of the Planet of the Apes a lot.
Goddamn, now THIS is the kind of studio sci-fi film I want to see.
Those sunglasses on Freeman are quite obnoxious, though. Quite a bizarre costume choice.
Tom Cruise is a well liked vastly popular movie star who it would seem has a bundle of great movies to his credit –But that is not the case —he has very few great movies and this will not be another one— super human special effect cop sci fi serch for truth-yeah——Tom should be able to find better storys, better scripts, unless there arent any to find-cant wait to miss this one -maybe ill be wrong ernest henry vogt II I am cruise fan but im more great story fan
Huh, only a few great movies…
RISKY BUSINESS
TOP GUN
BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY
THE COLOR OF MONEY
RAIN MAN
A FEW GOOD MEN
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE
JERRY MAGUIRE
EYES WIDE SHUT
MINORITY REPORT
MAGNOLIA
Now he’s done quite a few crappy ones too, I’ll give you that. But you may want to think about your definition of a “few” and give the man the props he deserves.
Can’t wait for OBLIVION – from the looks of it this will be added to the great list!
I’m a fan but let’s keep things in perspective.
Risky Business wasn’t great, it was cute.
Color of Money – PAUL NEWMAN was great.
Eyes Wide Shut was a Kubrik masterpiece, not sure if Tom’s acting was anything remarkable.
Just saying.
Looks nice but smells bad.
My sentiments exactly. People will not want to go see this.
Thanks for speaking for “people”.
I’ll be seeing it.
Freeman makes a better Morpheus than Lawrence Fishburn’s Morpheus.
Thanks for giving away the ENTIRE movie. No need to see that now.
I honestly truly believe Tom should go back to comedies — grown up comedies. He’s looking mighty stupid playing the last man on earth or the ghost-man hero/anti-hero. It’s getting really tired.
Works for me.
A great actor, a great script and a great director. This movie will be awesome. Can’t wait.
Finally, something that looks new and interesting.
Wow, can’t wait!
It looks interesting albiet with a dash of some elements that aren’t new. Lovely visuals. I’ll check it out as I don’t dislike Tom Cruise and while I thought Kosinski’s Tron: Legacy was terrible I won’t immediately hold that against him either now I’ve seen the trailer.
Jack Harper is Milt Biskle of Philip K. Dicks’ short story “Precious Artifact”
Hell yeah. Tom Cruise and Sci-Fi is a match made in heaven. I will watch the shit out of this then We Mortals Are (All You Need is Kill).
Gotta say…it don’t look bad. If Cruise can make good flicks, he can stay relevant as long as he wants. It’s as simple as that.
They couldn’t do any better than “pretty boy” Cruise. Wait for this to come out on video
If the story turns out to be as interesting as the visuals there may be something here.
two trailers come out on the same day, both of tom cruise playing a character named “Jack ____er” — nice coordination.
This is a good example of the kind of rambling people do on amphetamines.
Like the look, but the trailer sounds hackneyed — ‘WHO ARE YOU???” etc., etc. Unhappy they give away so much of the story, too. Definitely more appealing than “Jack Reacher” appears, though.
Looks like a cross between “Battlefield Earth” and “Wall-E”. It looks weak and a little confusing, I’m not sure how they can possibly explain what is going on and bring it to a concise conclusion within 2-3 hours.
From the word on the street, this trailer doesn’t give anything away but the setup… Looks amazing.
