New ‘Man Of Steel’ Television Spot #6
Looks sick!
I officially have hopeful concern.
OH no, not another alien extraterrestial movie. Make it stop!
Movie’s gonna own. Since the Evangelion movie never really went anywhere, this looks like the next best thing.
Classic deadline comments. Boring. moving on. The “real” audience response: positive.
How predictable – the most insanely awesome action movie trailer in a while is released and Deadline is already populated with cynical naysayers. Do you guys not love movies? Pacific Rim looks badass.
I told you we need giant robots to fight giant monsters. You didn’t believe me and now you see the problem we face. We built these jaegers in secret and we had to borrow money from China to build them. This is why we are raising everybody’s taxes those jaegers are very expensive.
Surprised how completely pedestrian this looks coming from Del Toro. Elba’s attempt at an inspired battle speech sounds like it was written by a 5-year-old. Henry V before Agincourt this ain’t.
Okay, so this completely vapid trailer of giant robots beating the shit out of giant monsters officially gets the teenage guys excited to see it. Now how ’bout something for the rest of us who’d like to make sure there’s a decent story to go along with the imagery.
I literally said “Oh No!” out loud
Looks like Transformers VS. Godzilla and Friends.
Well, yeah – that’s the point!
…And there will be cake.
I’m glad someone else noticed this! I was shocked no one was commenting on it.
More CGI crap with plenty of explosions!!! YES!!! Wonder what kind of crowd this will attract…
This person CAN wait. Enough of this garbage, with all due respect to a great director.
Transformers meets Godzilla meets Gundam… Transformagundazilla
Anyone who is not a 13 year old boy should find that trailer to be utterly absurd.
Would rather have seen R-rated “Mountains of Madness”
POWER RANGERS vs. GODZILLA. Count me OUT!
Holy crap. This movie is going to make SO MUCH GODDAMN MONEY.
Tom Tull’s enormous ego is bigger than the monsters and the robots. At the end of the trailer the first credit block is so ridiculous and so absurd it mentions LEGENDARY PICTURES not once or twice but three times.
Is Tull so insecure that he needs to see his company name three times? And it will be four or five times on the poster because it will have the Legendary logo in the lower corner opposite the Warner logo. This movie is an ego trip for Tull and nothing more.
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures presents a Warner Bros. Legendary Pictures production of a GDT film, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ Pacific Rim. Come on Tom lose the ego already it’s not needed. You should be able to put your ego away by now.
A bit over the top, yes, but his money, his logo. I would insist on the same if I were in the same position. Why invest the money and not get brand attribution? Disney does the same with their ridiculous rebranding of everything…Disney Digital 3D…
Really, another alien invasion movie? I expected a lot better from Del Toro. This looks like an awful mishmash of Godzilla, Battleship and Reel Steel. The kind of crap I’d expect from Roland Emmerich or Michael Bay.
Holy shit! I’m in!
Transformers meets Independence Day. Except nobody cares.
I always thought GDT was the Spanish Santa Clause. I don’t like his work except Puss in Boots. I am being sincere, Puss in Boots is surprisingly delightful.
That said…
This movie will be a triumph. GDT has his followers and haters. Today I cross over. This movie will deliver unique action sequences.
Despite being ridiculous the combat choreography in the Hell Boy series is commendable.
Maybe WARNER BROS will regain it’s top spot next year. This and Superman could provide 25% of revenue.
My only question. Are there any battle sequences that take place during the day?
“Are there any battle sequences that take place during the day?” No, clearly del Toro learnt from Jon Favreau, who taught him that all action scenes should be set at night, even Western shoot-outs.
does anyone know — are they acknowledging that it’s Neon Genesis Evangelion?
Like the The Grudge did, as a remake of Ju-on?
I was looking forward to this movie for awhile.
Now… not so much. I rather just have Goldzilla fight Mechagodzilla in 2014.
