EXCLUSIVE: Ashley Tisdale has signed up for Left Behind, which is being toplined by Nicolas Cage. The actress, who stars in the upcoming Scary Movie 5, will play Chloe Steele, the daughter of Cage’s Ray Steele character. After millions of people suddenly disappear from Earth, Chloe wanders America looking to find any remaining members of her family. Vic Armstrong is directing the adaptation of the bestselling faith-based novels. Tisdale, the former High School Musical star, recently had a two-episode arc on FX’s Sons Of Anarchy. She is repped by CAA and Perlman Management Group.

I’ve seen the movie “Left Behind” with the guy from the TV show “Growing Pains”. I wonder if this will have a religious aspect to it, or if he’ll have a cameo in it.
Guess you never read the books since left behind is about The Book of Revelations from the Bible.
So yea, it will have religion in it.
I think Jamila was just wondering if they will cut out all the religion or keep it neutral. People manage to do that even with the bible, or fiction based on the bible such as the Left Behind series. So no need to get sarcastic, it was a good question.

I’m sooo excited for this! First off, love Nicolas Cage and his work, so it’s so cool that Ashley finally gets her first real action/serious movie so we get to see a whole different kick-@$$ side of her! I like all the other tv/movies she’s done, but this will be completely different and I’m really excited to see her branch out to this type of movie!

Honestly, what’s the point of this movie? It’s not going to be religious enough for the folks who made the original books and movies popular. And with a cast like that, I don’t think mainstream audiences will be interested either.
Yeah, like YOU know what this movie is going to be, a year before its released. Just shut up and watch it, or don’t. Speculation means absolutely zero.
The above poster is right – it’s very middle of the road, and unlikely to connect with an audience big enough to justify the budget it will take to produce. It’s essentially a non-stop run of crazy disaster sequences that won’t be cheap to realize.
