EXCLUSIVE: As production is wrapping on the final season of AMC’s Breaking Bad, the series’ star Bryan Cranston is extending his relationship with Breaking Bad producer Sony Pictures Television. The Emmy-winning actor has signed a first-look deal with the studio to develop and produce new series projects, including potential starring vehicles for him.
In addition to starring on Breaking Bad, a role that has earned him three Emmy Awards, Cranston serves as a producer on the series whose final eight episodes will air this summer. UTA-repped Cranston is coming off a rare double SAG Award victory Sunday, where he won as best actor in a drama series for Breaking Bad and as a member of the cast of Argo, which took the best performance by a cast in a motion picture award.

Remarkably nice man and always a pleasure to interact with.
YAY! just what the television world needs– another vanity deal for an actor.
Check out the episodes the man has directed and tell me if that’s a vanity deal.
But not the episode of Malcolm where they’re stuck on the billboard. I love Bryan, and he’s borderline-infallible in my book, but EPS was directed atrociously in that episode; his eye-lines were even off.
No, you’re right, it’s much more constructive to anonymously discredit the success of others from behind a keyboard in an attempt to fill the emptiness inside.
I love that.
Bryan is a legend. Brilliant move by Sony–great things to come for sure.
He’s an amazing actor, a truly artist, hopefully he’s gonna headline some huge feature for them.
Let that man have his success. He has sure got the talent so why cant he be succesful? I will watch his other tv show.
Everything this man touches turns to gold. I for one am excited to follow him on his next adventure.
Except for Total Recall, that was not gold.
The execs at Sony TV are smart and equally as talented as BC. Great move by them as BC does turn everything into GOLD and they all make a great team together!
Good for Bryan!
I’d pay to watch the man shave– he’s got that much talent. (Just hope he’s done with shaving his head– at least for the foreseeable future… His hair is far too great for that.)
I would prefer one more season of Breaking Bad it’s so great and I will be sorry to see it end. They short-changed the cast and crew and should have given them at least 20 episodes instead of just 16 then they cheated them out of raises in salary for each new season by calling the 8 ep’s plus another 8 ep’s “one season” instead of two seasons. Vince and Bryan should have demanded two additional seasons of 10 ep’s each.
There is nothing this man does that isn’t insanely watchable.
Nothing.
I’d watch him read the phone book, if it existed anymore.
All hail King Heisenberg!! Keep getting them roles
Bryan Cranston is the ultimate of drama, comedy, any genre he does I will watch.
BREAKING BAD will break my heart when it finally concludes. I have watch every episode more than once. This year the Emmy award will hopefully include best show. Best actor ( Bryan) best writer the brilliant Vincent Gilligan. This show is the best series in television history.
I remain the ultimate fan.
