The first trailer for Danny Boyle‘s psychological thriller Trance has dropped. The film stars James McAvoy, Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson and follows a fine art auctioneer mixed up with a criminal gang who joins forces with a hypnotherapist to recover a lost painting. The Pathé, Fox Searchlight, Film4 presentation of a Cloud Eight/Decibel Films production releases in the UK on March 27. A U.S. release has not been set. Boyle, who masterminded the London Olympics Opening Ceremony, recently said: “After a mad summer with London 2012, it’s great to get back to the day job; treachery and intrigue on the screen rather than behind-the-scenes!”

i am very excited about this film, it feels like old school boyle in my opinion
I’m not usually too impressed by trailers these days, but that one looks damn good.
Surprised how old McAvoy looks. At least its a british thriller but I’d agree it seems old school. Nearly dated.
Welcome To The Punch with McAvoy looks better than this. Maybe the next trailer will give us more of an idea of what’s going on.
Punch looks desperately like it wants to be a dumb Hollywood thriller, replete with one-note characters, an idiot plot and ridiculous shoot-outs, but – crucially – without the budget to pull off its technical ambitions. This looks smaller in scale and bigger in ideas, which is a happy trade-off.
Danny Boyle is the best!!!
