CBS Television Distribution just announced that it has sold The Test, a syndicated daytime strip from Jay McGraw’s Stage 29 Prods and hosted by actor-comedian Kirk Fox, into 56% of the country for a fall 2013 launch.

Tribune Broadcasting is partnering in the production of the show, which is set to launch on 17 Tribune Broadcasting Stations, including in the three largest markets on WPIX New York,; KTLA Los Angeles and WGN Chicago. Overall, the show has been sold in 56% of the country, including seven of the top 10 markets.
Hosted by Fox (Parks And Recreation, Forgetting Sarah Marshall), The Test is a one-hour conflict-resolution talk show that will use lie detector and DNA tests to settle relationship and paternity disputes among guests. “The Test fills a growing niche in daytime television that the audience is really responding to,” said Joe DiSalvo, president of sales at CTD. In addition to Tribune, The Test has been sold to 29 Sinclair Communications stations, among others. Fox is repped by Barry Katz Entertainment.

I had a chance to be a part of the audience this past week for kicks. It is similar to the Maury show, But like Hector said the host makes it awesome. It’s funny!
Filming on this show and seeing my mom get driven off to Malibu for rehab forever will have changed my life! Thank you so much Kirk and paramount producers!!!!!! This was a blessing!

My Aunt was just contacted by “The Test” due to our situation… both of us have been searching for our fathers for years now. I dont think that the show should be referenced as “Trailer Park Trash”, I think it’s actually a relief to know that someone is finally willing to help!! Definitely cant wait to see what our mothers think about it….OH YEAH WHO CARES, they’ve done nothing to improve the situation for years now…
THIS SHOW IS AWFUL!!!! Its Springer meets Maury povich. All this show does is exploit low rent trailer trash people with problems by having them take these Test be it, DNA, lie detector etc to see who is lying about some bullshit unrelated to the core of there problem.
These people have serious issues but the producers sucker them into being loud, lame and obnoxious for Good tv. Someone could be honestly suicidal but the host would ask So is it true you stole the Jewelry box? We’ll find out the lie detector test results when we get back”. Some insensitive dumb assness. Dont watch this show its a joke!!!
(The test) is only about ratings do they really care about your problems?NO.they say the do before you come on but they don’t. the show is a mix of jerry springer meets maury and most of it is staged. instead of helping you with the core of your problems they manipulate you into doing a song and dance for the audience. they purposely make people fail the lie detector tests so they can get a reaction out of the audience. so if your going on to try and fix a problem then don’t bother, there not doctor Phil at all.

no they are not, not even close, and think about it, a tv show care only about 1 thing results as far as entertaining, they will creat anything that makes that.
I want to thank Courtney, Kirk, David and all the others whom was apart of the show. Me and my daughter has come closer than we have ever been. I would do it all over again if I had too.

I was in the audience for a show where they sent two heroin addicts to rehab, they were very serious about the issue and got the kids the help they needed so that they didn’t end up dead. I think that is a great thing for a show to be able to do.
