Two highly publicized celebrity visits pushed up the ratings for Jimmy Kimmel Live and Katie.
A first-ever visit by Jimmy Kimmel’s “arch nemesis”, Matt Damon (plus appearances by Sheryl Crow, Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams, Reese Witherspoon, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Gary Oldman, Ben Affleck, Robin Williams and Sarah Silverman), pushed last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live to No. 1 among all late-night programs in households (2.92 rating) and adults 18-49 (1.23 rating) in Nielsen’s 56 metered markets. It marked JKL’s best HH rating since moving to 11:35 PM earlier this month and its second-strongest in young adults.

Yesterday’s Katie was up 30% over its previous four-week average.

Just proves that you don’t have to be smart to get into college if you are good at sports. Man that guy is dumb. They said he had all night phone calls with this dude pretending to be a girl? Really? Creepy if true but I doubt that its true. Good cover. Thanks to O&A for telling me about deadspin.
The Kimmel show (or I should say, the Matt Damon show) was hysterical and really well done. It was probably the best late night show I’ve seen in the last few years.
Oh my god, Matt Damon was incredible on the Jimmy Kimmel show, I don’t normally watch his show but I could not stop watching
Very well done on Matt’s part, he should high jack the show more often
