Last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Sucks edition of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live will be rebroadcast next Tuesday at 10 PM, replacing a Body Of Proof repeat. Last night’s show, in which JKL was “hijacked” by Matt Damon and featured appearances by Sheryl Crow, Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams, Reese Witherspoon, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Gary Oldman, Ben Affleck, Robin Williams and Sarah Silverman, ranked No. 1 among all late-night programs in households (2.92 rating) and adults 18-49 (1.23 rating) in Nielsen’s 56 metered markets. It marked JKL’s best HH rating since moving to 11:35 PM earlier this month and its second-strongest in young adults. ABC’s Tuesday 10 PM slot is airing repeats and State of the Union coverage until Season 3 of Body Of Proof premieres on February 19. The series’ Season 2 finale was originally slated for next Tuesday at 10 PM as the drama was supposed to come back with originals February 5, but the season premiere was recently pushed to February 19. With a special original Bachelor from 9-11 PM on February 5, followed by State of the Union on Feb. 12, Body Of Proof will no go straight into its third season February 19.

Is anyone but me getting weary of Matt Damon gags?
I’m sure you’ll find others to agree with you, but I think most viewers enjoy the running Damon joke.
Depends. Is anyone but you getting tired of life? If you can’t find pleasure in this, your pleasure center is broken.
I absolutely loved Matt Damon in this. It was so funny!!!!
Just you, Jack.
They are killing Letterman and Leno.
If this was just a stunt to get more people to watch Kimmel–
It worked.
I hope NBC and CBS are paying attention. Especially NBC. Yes, Leno may get better ratings than Kimmel some nights, but don’t you programmers ever think about the QUALITY of those viewers? Kimmel’s viewers tend to be young, upscale and with disposable income, while Jay’s are elderly, assisted living residents, retirees on fixed incomes and people with less education who earn less.
Viewers, the smart ones, are just so goddam sick of Leno and Letterman NEVER retiring and doing the same jokes over and over that they’ll watch anyone new in late night. If NBC put Jimmy Fallon on @ 11:30 it could be basking in some of the buzz ABC is getting.
Dave and Jay keep doing the same tired jokes and bits. Watching these shows is really a form of late night waterboarding.
Jay has a healthy lead over Jimmy in households, so far. And he has a very slim lead in the 18-49 demographic. But yes, this will make NBC and CBS sit up and take notice. They’re going to have to make a switch, and soon, or else Kimmel will have an insurmountable lead by the time the new hosts take over on the other networks.
It’s just you Jack.
Brilliant marketing idea..
So, to keep these ratings going are they replacing Kimmell with Damon? I’d watch it then. Might want to check how well the ratings are when it just goes back to Kimmel.
Watched most of it and it was funny. But then the jokes about Kimmel being an a-hole became too repetitive.
Nice surprise with Silverman and her hot “hot dog” story.
Maybe I missed it, but would have like to see a joke about Sheryl Crow and ex, Lance Armstrong.
The Late Night Arena Is A Marathon, Not A One-Night Stand/Stunt.
Yes, it’s a marathon… best run by those with fresh legs. Though some people like the comfort of sleeping through completely uninspired shows, those of us abandoned late night due to staleness are now coming back because of Jimmy.
Ferguson is still fresh and fun.
(Oh wait…I wrote this comment almost two years ago. Never mind.)
Ferguson is fun, but he is stuck in the same boat as Fallon – he won’t be moving up an hour until his lead-in is sporting a toe tag.
Can’t stand Leno. He always seems to be yelling. Have a hard time between Letterman and Kimmel. Loved the Matt Damon show
