Rich Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz’s Prospect Park has cleared the last major hurdle in its effort to revive the cancelled ABC daytime
dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online, reaching an agreement with the WGA. The company already inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production in December. With the WGA taking long to engage, Prospect Park was faced with the prospect of having to work with fi-core writers, which proved difficult. Now it doesn’t have to. The company recently announced that it has secured financing and distribution, entered into a consulting agreement with Agnes Nixon, creator of both All My Children and One Life To Live, signed Jennifer Pepperman as Executive Producer on One Life to Live, Ginger Smith as Executive Producer on All My Children and Foz McDermott as head of production of The Online Network where the soaps will air. Prospect Park also has started to lock in cast members for a February production start.

I am so excited and happy All My Children is returning. I was so disappointed when it went off the air. I have been watching for over 35 years. I hope everyone’s coming back. I also agree that Brooke should also return. This just makes me so HAPPY!!!!!!

What great news that All My Children and One Life to Live are finally going to resume their storylines. I am thrilled especially for AMC, I hope some of the core characters will be back but focus on the Martin, Cortland and Chandler families. Get rid of all those extras that didn’t matter. It is time for Tad Martin to become the patriarch with visits from Joe, Ruth, Tara and others. The Chandlers should be Brooke, Scott, JR, and others; The Cortlandts should be Nina, Bobby, Opal, and others, include Bianca, Kendall and Erica if possible. How about rebuilding the Tyler family.
OLTL, I hope Fish and Oliver come back, they were the reason I watched, bring Larry Wolek, Karen, Vikki Lord back, also have stories between the two soaps off an on. Llandview s hould =visit Pine Valley, they used to. Then let’s resurrect As the World Turns and Guiding Light, it would be wonderful to see them come back. Bravo to Prospect Park!
Mr. Patten . . . as the saying sort of goes “from your lips to Prospect Park’s ears”. This is the best news I have gotten since all the soaps started to disappear! I hope the fans support AMC and OLTL to the point where Prospect Park might just investigate the possibilities of resurrecting As the World Turns and Guiding Light!

Sisters and soaps go together. my sis and me watched together as long as i can remember. After she died the soaps really helped me. When they went off it was like i lost the last little thing we shared. Now i can watch and remember the fun we had watching. It’s the little things that count. enjoy your sis.
I agree Larry Wolek needs to appear again. I’d also like to see Cord, Bo, Max, etc… all those good old 80s Buchanan faces. Would also be great to See Adam back on Amc.

This has “fail” written all over it. No one but the die hards will bother to watch these cheap abominations. Those shows are dead and buried, and the desirable viewers don’t are (and haven’t for years).

Well Mike I happen to be a DEDICATED & DESIRABLE viewer of AMC & OLTL for over 25 years and I am not the ONLY DEDICATED DESIRABLE Soap fan out there that are OVERJOYED AND THRILLED over the news of these 2 POWERHOUSE DAYTIME SOAPS being put back on the air, Just because you don’t watch them does not give you the right to speak for everyone because when you do you make an A$$ out of yourself like you just did!

I guess time will tell… I hope it the shows “look right” and not like Guiding Light did it’s year or so when it shot away from its studios in NJ.
When – if ever – has any scripted, nationally televised show been filmed in Connecticut ?!?!
I hope the writers take the opportunity given to them to undo a lot of the mistakes which were made at AMC & OLTL.
Don’t worry about picking up from where the shows ended, have a character wake up from a nightmare to undo what was done. Bring Adam and Stuart back with rest of Chandlers like JR, Krystal and Babe. Kane women: Erica, Bianca, Kendall with Zach.
Cast with fan favourites when possible and know we are a forgiving and accepting group. We accepted Jessie returning from dead and numerous recasts. If a former cast member is not available focus on those that are and after up and running look at recasting if they are still not available. A lot of stars should be available even some that left a couple years ago, like Eden Riegel and Alexa Havins.

Why was the prospect of working with fi-core writers so difficult? The WGA has never done much for soap writers, so what was the big deal in lining up qualified writing staffs? I’d much rather see new talent staffed than retread the same old tired, incestuous soap writers who’ve were worn out creatively and passionately decades ago. Don’t fall into that trap, PP; bring in new blood to work with Ms. Nixon. They’ll learn from the best on their feet, and will work cheaper too.
OMG! I am in 7th heaven over this development. I almost sought a psychologist after the sudden loss of AMC, GL, ATWT, and OLTL. We need these shows back because the stupid talkshow crap is sucking the escapism out of tv. I need to see daytime hunks, hot romance, secret plots, and star crossed lovers just to cope with reality. PLEASE BRING BACK GL and ATWT too.

This is going to be a disaster. They just neef to let these shows go. Don’t get me wrong I watched both shows. But the characters I was interested in on OLTL have all moved to GH and I can’t see this working in the long run.
Beyond elated! More so because I read on another page that Prospect Park plans to air ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE on a Cable Network (in addition to airing it in other countries as well!), so EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH!!!!!!!!
Hope this really happens! I am watching reruns of AMC on Soapnet. Soapnet advertises as if will still be around for 2013. Tried watching the other soaps but the only one that I can watch is Y&R. I think because of Jack and Chelsea(Cliff and Annie from AMC.) Also watching Ryan’s Hope on YouTube. Can’t wait to see who is coming back for AMC! I just hope many of the original actors come back. Hurry ! Hurry! I can’t wait!!!
I am so happy that they are coming back, yes we will miss alot of the orginals ,from oltl but they can come back and visits everyone grows up and moves out on there own at some point in life, ( right)? I hope cable will air it on a channel I really have been lost with out amc and oltl,but still loving GH, thanks God that we will soon be reunited with amc oltl, and it would be great to bring back the older cast and most of the newer one..
I wish I could get excited about OLTL but the true talent on that show is Frank and Ron as a team and they are currently rocking it on GH (which seriously needed work as well).
I am beyond ecstatic to see these soaps return. I hope the people making negative comments eat crow. I watch all the soaps on line at my convenience. It’s a new world and generation. It’s not the 80′s so wise up critics on your negativity about streaming online. I will support to whatever capacity these shows are put on. That’s what true fans do. Support. So stop with the negative bullshit tip there is a reason to be. Good luck. I’ll be watching for sure.
I think its very exciting!!! True soap fans are rejoicing everywhere… ive accepted the fact that it will be mist likely very different..sets might be different, cast might not have all our favorites, the overall look might be different ….but I’m ok with it, because in my eyes just having Pine Valley and Llanview back is better then not having them at all ..I’m grateful to Prospect Park
I’m looking forward to it. It will allow me to finally find the perfect way to introduce my 89 year old mum to the internet. She loved OLTL, as did I, and I welcome it back in any format. Internet TV is the wave of the future, and if we support it, it could allow scripted drama to continue for a very long time. And who knows? If the ratings are good enough, perhaps a cable channel will be interested in picking them up for traditional broadcast. In any event, I look forward to seeing Erika Slezak and Jerry Ver Dorn back on my screen, whether it’s a TV screen or a computer screen.
The folks that say let the shows die? Hey people, don’t watch them then. I’m over the moon happy. And will watch OLTL faithfully, as I did for 42 years.
This is just beyond words!!!! It has a been a long road but the fans finally made it, Our beloved shows are coming back thanks to PP! Rich and Jeff from PP I would like to say THANK YOU for listening to the fans and never stopped trying to revive our beloved shows and characters that have become like family over the years and was heart breaking when ABC pulled the plug. I can not wait to see Pine Valley and Llanview and the characters once again!!

Maybe it’s time to revive one other ABC Soap Opera…DARK SHADOWS!
Set present day and follow on the original continuity – a handful of the surviving original cast and a bunch of new characters to continue the legacy!
Actually, I have started watching Dark Shadows (again) on DVD thanks to Netfex. Very exciting OOP! I am sharing my age. So thrilled the Soaps are coming back. And for those of us who is close to the 60 year mark ,if I can work the Internet you can too:) Yeah, Soaps!!!
I am very excited to have both shows back…will be interesting to watch via computer. Whatever storylines they come with, I hope it’s plausible and entertaining. I know some people won’t be back as they are already on other shows or are enjoying retirement. I guess to ABC it made sense to pull the shows off the air, but at least one of their replacements didn’t make it. If these blogs are any indication of AMC/OLTL fan base, I’d say these shows will succeed. Thank you Propect Park….glad you’re tenacious in producing these shows!
Please return the CBS shows ATWT and GL back.The writing and actors were always top notch and are sorely missed.Perhaps Prospect Park should…under the consulting Ms. Nixon…could somehow combine the very best of AMC….ONLTL…ATWT & GL actors and story lines to not only reboot the tried and true…but begin a new chapter in soap history by skillfully creating a brand new “supersoap” by bringing each individual shows rich history to the table.With the afore mentioned writers avail…and the rich pool of acting talent…this would be a tremendous project that could end up revolutionary and profitable in ways never before imagined…due to conventional tv network restrictions.it is time for a new chapter to be written because try as the network executives did…the soap opera genre is still alive and well. Consider the possibilities such a ‘Super Soap’ offers…to fans and producers alike!
