EXCLUSIVE: In his TV directing debut, Rise Of The Planet of The Apes helmer Rupert Wyatt is set to direct AMC‘s period drama pilot Turn, from Nikita creator/executive producer Craig Silverstein and Barry Josephson. Based on Alexander Rose’s book Washington’s Spies, Turn is
set in the summer of 1778 and tells the story of New York farmer Abe Woodhull, who bands together with a group of childhood friends to form The Culper Ring, an unlikely group of spies who turn the tide in America’s fight for independence. The project, from AMC Studios, is written/executive produced by Silverstein and exec produced by Josephson. Turn was one of two period drama pilots AMC ordered in November, along with Halt & Catch Fire, from Breaking Bad executive producer Mark Johnson. Wyatt is repped by WME.

We have our eye on Mr. Silverstein. He has immense talent and a bright future.
This sounds iffy to me. Hopefully they pair it up with the awful Hell on Wheels so I can dodge them both without too much effort.
I can’t wait for Turn! After reading The Culper Ring by Brad Meltzer, this is one show I’m looking forward to watching.
This sounds awesome. Curious to check out the book now.
Meh. The colonies win in the end. Sorry to ruin it.
There is a name for people who only watch something to find out what happens at the end. “Idiots.”
I’ve never read the book, and I’m a little skeptical on a tv show set like this when Hell on Wheels gets poor reviews, but I’ll still check it out since I love history
