EXCLUSIVE: KTLA Los Angeles entertainment guru Sam Rubin has been tapped to host the 18th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, which will air live tomorrow from 8-10 PM PT on the CW. The confirmed guest list includes just about every actor or actress who has been in season-long discussions for the Oscar nominations, which will have been revealed earlier in the morning. That 5:38 AM wake-up call always makes for a long day for the entertainment journos in town, but it will be especially daunting for Rubin, who will cover the noms announcement at 5:38 AM, do his regular shift on the KTLA Morning News and then host the station’s two-hour Critics’ Choice red carpet show before jumping onstage to host the ceremony. Scheduled presenters include Nina Dobrev, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Melissa Leo, Eva Longoria, Cory Monteith, Rob Riggle, Emmy Rossum, Ian Somerhalder, Octavia Spencer and Paul Wesley.

This should get an 0.6 rating tomorrow on the CW since it can barely register anything over a 2 to begin with, based on their other programming options. Too many of these award shows perhaps?
No but really, whos hosting? Seriously CW was Jamie Kennedy REALLY busy?
Sammy may be one of the very few people who can still get excited about new movies. He’s self-effacing and funny. Lay off.
Agreed. Sam Rubin is one of the few entertainment journalist that is passionate and has no agenda.
I’m not the biggest KTLA fan by any means, but I like Sam Rubin a lot. Good for him
Sam Rubin is a solid choice. Not sure how big his audience is, but it will definitely grow because of this.
Sam Rubin is gonna be great, can’t wait to see the show!
Can’t wait to watch Sam Rubin tomorrow night! He is my Fav!
Sam Rubin is excellent. What a work horse. One of the hardest working men in show business, and one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
Wow, This guy is a machine! I’m looking forward to seeing him host the show at the end of the night. Hardest working guy in the biz.
