Three weeks into the season, Showtime has renewed its entire current Sunday lineup: Drama Shameless for a fourth season, comedy House Of Lies for a third and veteran Californication for Season 7. The pickup comes as all three series are off to a strong start this season. They all returned on January 13 with their highest-rated episodes ever. The third season of Shameless is currently averaging 5.4 million weekly viewers across platforms, up 22% from last season and up 63% vs. Season 1. The second season of House Of Lies is averaging 3.2 million weekly viewers, up 10% from Season 1, and the sixth season of Californication is averaging 3.1 million weekly viewers, up 21% vs. season five. Production for the new seasons of all three series will kick-off in Los Angeles later this year for a 2014 launch. “Californication, House Of Lies and Shameless possess highly distinctive comedic voices, and given that all three continue to grow their audience season after season – the pick-up decision was easy,” said Showtime entertainment president David Nevins. In their most recent airings on Jan. 27, Shameless delivered 2.53 million viewers for the night, the series’ biggest total night ever. House Of Lies was on par with its season premiere, 1.4 million viewers for the night across two plays. Californication attracted 1.05 million cumed viewers.

Californication and Shameless are beautiful shows and are so reflective of real life. So rare to see that on television. Marvelous work Showtime, thank you for helping me drift away after a weekend of hard work.
Californication is soo bad now. Its just like Weeds was. A great show that’s run out of stories to tell.

I really like Californication but I hope this is their last season. I feel it’s the right time to wrap up the exploits of Hank Moody once and for all and end on a high note.
I’d watched all of Californication and Shameless until this season but now they are just too degrading to watch anymore.
I work on Shameless and the cast are absolutely amazing and talented. So glad we have a Season 4!!!! Yay!!
I always saw ‘Shameless’ on my UK friend’s pages and didn’t think we had it here at all (Toronto Canada) so was thrilled when the first 2 seasons suddenly turn up on Rogers cable pre-recorded favourites. What a truly unique experience this has been for me! Fantastic acting, unusual and mostly hilarious episodes…don’t know if they’ll put up future seasons on here but omg I sure hope they do. Amazing!
Seriously. Californication was terrific for three seasons, and now they’re just picking over the desiccated corpse. They lost the thread a long time ago. Moody was a great rebel, but now he’s just a degenerate washed-up bum. Duchovny needs to get out of this and back to something dramatic before people just associate him with this character.

Californicaton is one of the most amazing shows ever, please continue with the good work and don’t listen to people who can only criticize. the show is in many ways inspirational and funny ..the guest stars make it even more amazing and the story is getting ever more better with David as an amazing actor able to present us the pain that he feels. All in all an amazing show, and the criticizer are a little contradictory as they must have watched the show and still do to be able to say that the dislike it. There is no such thing as bad publicity

I love Californication, but I do feel Season 5&6 have kinda lost some of the luster. Go back and watch Season 1 episode 1, I couldn’t believe all the stuff that happened in it!
For the haters… If you have truly followed Californication, it seems to be about the charachters trials and tribulations, NOT about a specific story line. The way life is. If you feel for or understand the characters then it will never be a bore or “picking the bones’ of the first seasons.
Isn’t life a constant change? With new issues, new people, new experiences… sometimes exciting and sometimes sad? One must wonder!
Californication had one of its best seasons this year. I don’t know what you all are talking about, saying its horrible and washed up. This years season premier sets it up perfect for one last amazing season. Can’t wait to see what Tom Kapinos creates next season. I believe it will be the last.
Sadly I agree, really seems like Season 7 will be the last one. I’m gonna miss Hank like hell! It’s kind of pathetic to think that these characters play a significant role in my life haha. But it’s just so inspirational and deep, reflective of real life.
Cali4, must go on,… It’s a great set-up/stage that I believe is really for single dads,… Ther a lot in those story that I can totally relate with when it comes to my ex-wife and child, kinda spooky sometimes .. I think it is one of the better show out today
Well now I can breathe again knowing there’s at least one more season of Californication. I’m not ready to say goodbye just yet. AWSOME!!

I am new to all three shows. But I watched them all on demand and I am hooked. I love Californication and hate that its gonna be another year for it to air again. Watching Hank get hinself into messes all the while pining for Karen is beyond entertaining. I did want him to end up with Faith though :’( Great job Showtime!!
