The cast includes Luke Hemsworth, Emilie de Ravin, Charles Mesure, Les Hill, Claire van der Boom, Tony Bonner, Andrew Lees and Vince Colosimo. The screenplay by Ian Sparke, who’s also the executive producer, and his son Luke Sparke, focuses on four men from rural New South Wales who joined the Army in 1916 after the disastrous Gallipoli campaign. Luke Sparke will make his directing debut and shooting is due to start midyear in Wauchope, NSW. Camelot Distribution Group is selling international rights.

Great news, indeed…a fine cast is assembling. You know, these 4 Diggers would have heard from ‘The Origionals’….That they were, “The deep Thinkers”…meaning that it took them long enough to “think” about joining up, (unlike the Origionals who joined in 1914)….Their retort…..They were the “Fair Dinkums”, men who had volunteered anyway, after the slaughter/defeat that was Gallipolli. GO!!! You Good Things!!! Lest we Forget
This is great news on a much awaited film by the Sparks who indeed have a real story to tell.. Looking forward to when this hits the screens and casting so far is great and this will be a top shelf film.
Excellent news! Can’t wait to see it! But really would love to see a movie made by Aussies about poignant battles involving the ATF in Viet Nam, such as battle of FSB Coral/Balmoral, there are plenty to research…
