EXCLUSIVE: Ted co-writers writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild have signed with UTA. This comes as FBC picked up their untitled pilot and moved it right to series, one of the few large commitments of the season. The writers had been repped by WME.
The scribes co-wrote the Universal hit comedy with Seth MacFarlane, which grossed more than $500 million worldwide. The duo also scripted the Untitled Western that MacFarlane is set to direct and star in, this spring. They are also currently writing for the Academy Award telecast which MacFarlane is hosting. They are also expected to write the Ted sequel.
Sulkin & Wild have been writer/producers on Family Guy since 2005, rising to Executive Producers, and the duo is currently under an overall deal at 20th Century Fox Television.
Sulkin & Wild continue to be represented by attorney Ken Richman.

These guys are great they know comedy in sitcoms and movies. My only question, why did they leave WME?
Better question: why did they go to UTA?
Yikes, that’s a major loss for WME! Those are 2 great, creative guys who are beloved… read: they’re going to be around and selling for a very long time. Again: a major loss for WME.
I am not going to pretend like I know why Clients leave 1 Agent for another…but some say changing Agents is like getting a new Boyfriend/Girlfriend. Change is good. Sometimes we need a new person to listen to our problems and help resolve them…and then help us to move forward and upward toward success.
