At least this much of what Lance Armstrong says is true in part 2 of Oprah’s Next Chapter interview. Then she asks whether he owes an apology to David Walsh — the journalist who was villified and held up to public ridicule for his 13-year pursuit of the truth:

His jaws definitely tightened.
This guy is still lying- F–k him HE IS ONE NUT !!
Lance Armstrong is still a liar! He cannot look Oprah in the face, and give her a straight answer! Lance has destroyed the USA cycling time forever! STOP faking it Lance, and come clean already!!!!!!!
So, do we know how much Oprah paid this liar to barely come clean? Millions?
Liestrong Lance.
BTW, go to hell.
He is scary person actually. It’s like completely other person than was in those earlier interviews. No “I’m sorry. I feel bad. How could this happened”. On the other hand we are just so used to all those crying and self pity from celebrities that get caught. They all sit, cry, pity themselves, promise to go to rehab and be cured or something. Lance is not doing those “poor me” stuff. He just says the things they way they are.
But still no sorry for those people he bullied for years. Kind of amazing. He is not faking it. All those Tiger Woodses or Jessy James, Lohans like people would run to rehab and be all like: “It’s not my fault. I was sick”. It would be hilarious if Lance would laugh at all and go to rehab for cheaters and lying people. And would be like: “It was not my fault you all. I’m just addicted to lying”
But can you imagine how hard it was for him to come up and admit it in interview? Not to give some statement to TMZ that was written by attorneys but to say it face to face. And to sit there all calm. He is probably not crying person. He can now write book about it. Will be best seller.
But he should go to jail for a few months for all those lies. Like Marion Jones did. Do your time like Mike Tyson did, then write a book, give more interviews and people will stop hating you so much.
I got a kick out of O’s yes or no qeustions, she sounded like she was giving him a lie detector test. Who’s next on O’s list, O.J.?
How much did Oprah pay this weasel? Must have been a lot.
This could be slow and painful or quick and clean.
1. Acknowledge guilt for your specific acts, do not share blame with the sport in general.
2. Take hard questions from a sports reporter and answer them frankly.
3. Go on an apology tour. Hit the sports talk shows.
4. Apologize individually to those you have wronged.
4. Volunteer your time or start a charity that aids or researches the detrimental effects of performance enhancing substances.
You want to apologize? Repay all the money you sued people for. Just send the checks dollar for dollar. Take out a full page ad in USA today apologizing to everyone, with their names that you ruined, went after, called names, etc. Lastly, go away. I only feel sorry for your children. Poor things. How awful for them. Seriously, no one misses you.
Vile! Hope you lose everything Lance. Lie-Strong!
I remember when Armstrong was on Leno’s show back in Lance’s (and Jay’s) heyday before they both took a big fall and ended up crawling to Oprah. Jay said somethin’ like “Livestrong is pretty popular. Does anyone in our studio audience happen to have a bracelet?” Camera cuts to studio audience, and all 400 ppl hold up their wrists with the yellow bracelets. And, amazingly, Leno does not play it off as a joke. He’s dead serious. Acts like the bracelets were not passed out before the show. Says something like “Look, Lance – everyone has one. They’re all with you, fighting the good fight.” At that moment I thought “Jay and Lance are both huge phonies.” As we learned in the coming years, they were not just phonies but sociopaths.
I find it telling Lance says he’ll apologize to the people he mentioned “when they’re ready.” Why does he need them to be ready. For that matter, why does he even need Oprah to be ready to apologize?
I feel for David Walsh, who got trashed and will probably never get his reputation back, because reporters are NEVER honorable people. Scumbags, gasbags, egomaniacs, liars, yes… but NEVER honorable. And the good you do nobody remembers, while the bad you do, nobody forgets.
He doesn’t really give a damn. His body language, his statements make that clear. He got caught and he had to do this. If would otherwise never ever have come clean. Terrible man.
He is short of being accused of murdering his wife (if he had one). He’s this century’s O.J. All anyone can say is Boo to you Lance.
And as for you Oprah, end the chapter and close your book an a good note. We’re tired of your take on the world.
