It’s a collection of loosely related shorts directed by a bunch of different people — we count 13 on one site and it may be more or fewer but at one time the potential tally was considerably higher. Shot rather on the fly when people were available, it has an even longer list of in-front-of-the-camera participants, among them Elizabeth Banks (also one of the directors), Kristen Bell, Halle Berry, Gerard Butler, Bobby Cannavale, Common, Josh Duhamel, Anna Faris, Richard Gere, John Hodgman, Terrence Howard, Hugh Jackman, Greg Kinnear, Stephen Merchant, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Moretz, Liev Schreiber, Seann William Scott, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis, Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet. Directors include Steven Brill, Peter Farrelly, Griffin Dunne, and Brett Ratner. Movie 43, from Relativity Media, opens January 25th:

Never have so many labored so much for so long to produce so little of entertainment value. It’s a mish mash a hodge podge of nonsense.
Junk … junk … junk
Was this a film school project?
What a load of cobbler you talk. This movie is the chance for actors to break out of the usual formulaic blow it up or bleed on it stuff. Go for it guys we need to break the trance.

If you want to see a REAL range of talent in some interesting short film stories, check out the 2012 sleeper hit “Stars in Shorts.” It’s clever and has a nice balance of stars and unknowns. 43 sounds like a train wreck.
There are five comments here. Non of you have seen this film. Non of you make movies. Non of you have even a clue how funny or not funny this film is. Who are you?
Wrong. At least one filmmaker here. Not commenting on the film, which I haven’t seen. Commenting on the trailer, which looks like crap. But if you’re happy eating swill, the farmer is going to keep shovelling. And none has an ‘e’.
I have made 23 Films with 18 of them with worldwide distribution.
and I can say this movie is junk.
