President Barack Obama and outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat down together for an interview that will air Sunday on CBS’ 60 Minutes. It was their first joint interview and the president’s first sit-down with anyone other than First Lady Michelle Obama. The interview follows Clinton’s grilling in Congress earlier this week over the administration’s responsibility for security failures in Libya that resulted in the deaths of four Americans. The clip below from the 60 Minutes interview with Steve Kroft was broadcast during tonight’s CBS Evening News:

There’s those god awful glasses again. Lend credence to the theory her eyes are still messed up from that whack on the head.
Let this be a lesson to the rest of you to take head injuries seriously. She put off going to the hospital, and this is the result. She got off lucky, though, considering what happened to Natasha Richardson.
One of the few things I have seen in a long time which makes me like and respect all those people in Washington.
Clearly, as always, hats off to the folks at 60 Minutes and CBS News for coming up with the combined interview concept. Like the Grey Lady these institutions continue to demonstrate and support that the creation of content which responds to the paradigms of our (not reacts to the 24 hour news cycle) is fostered everyday from and in the media organizations of the world. The studio model, love it or hate it, is indeed the best VC incubator out there going from idea to product faster than any outlet of silicon valley. However that model was built on “barrier to entry” which technology is breaking down every day (as I go to Deadline.com everyday.) As it is still day 1 of the internet I hope that we can develop business models which enable content such as this to continue to flourish and at the end of the day I proud to have a digital subscription to the NY Times and I will be happy to buy this episode off of iTunes.
Fuggettabout it. Hillary is NOT going to President.
Same thing they said about a certain skinny Senator from Illinois.
He’s just starting his second term now.
What difference does it make? Richard Nixon should have given the response regarding the Watergate cover-up. Let’s see… a break-in versus foreign policy breakdown and Americans killed. This pair have been a tragedy for the country. They make me sick.
If you watched her full response to the question you wouldn’t be posting that comment. She said she wants to find out who carried out the Benghazi attacks and bring them to justice, but she was (rightly) frustrated with the GOP’s stupid questions.
Here’s one of the “brilliant “questions Johnson to Hillary Why didn’t you pick up the phone and call? Genius! One of the greats “have you heard about weapons at the annex going to Turkey”. The other genius senator from Kentucky. Im surprised she didn’t scream at all those fools. Angry White Men whatcha gonna do about it
Give ‘em hell, Hilary! Those Repubs were too busy attempting to get the nation over the ‘fiscal cliff’ to be concerned about your duties…but now they are. Get some rest now and I’ll see you in 2016!
Steve Kroft? That says it all. Softball questions in a big billowy marshmallow fluff.
Every time Barry wants to explain away something he goes on “60 Minutes”, he and Hillary will get a bunch of softball questions and then their whores in the MSM will drop what ever issue that is bugging Barry. Little will be reported about Bengazi after this.
The familys of the 4 dead Americans will just have to accept the fact that Barry and Hillarys reps are just too important and scandals in THIS White House can not happen, their deaths will have be in vain….and soon forgotten….like Fast and Furious.
Alex, I hope you were this angry when George W let 3000 Americans die on 9/11 by not following up the intel he recieved. I will not even bring up the two lovely wars he put us in where hundreds of thousands of people were killed.
You(Republicans) tried to use the Benghazi incident to create a scandal which would possibly give Mitt Romney a leg up during the elections.
You failed.
All that’s left for you now is to make yourselves look foolish.
Some of the “tougher” questions to be asked:
For Obama re: our out-of-control spending and catastrophic debt: “So you’re officially in your second term now. Understanding you won’t have any re-election pressures, what impact, if any, do you feel that will have on your basketball game?”
For Clinton re: the lie she helped push vis-a-vis Benghazi: “That’s a vibrant color of pink you are wearing. As a world respected woman in politics, where do you do most of your shopping?”
60 Minutes has become, like the rest of the mainstream media, simply a field office for Obama’s campaign. (yes, I know he can’t run again, but he NEVER stops campaigning, clearly his only skill)
Viewers will need a calculator to keep up with the evasions and outright lies in this one.
What difference does it make? Richard Nixon should have used those words in response to Watergate. A minor cover-up of a break-in and he lost his presidency. Yet there sits two contemptible liars who attempted to cover-up the circumstances that led to the death of an American Ambassador and service personnel. They fabricated a false scenario to fit the public rhetoric that Obama had Al Quaeda on the run. These two disgust me.
Thanks for the clip, I look forward to the interview. I would also like to see President Bush and Secretary Rice interviewed about the 10 separate consulate attacks during the Bush administration that took the lives of dozens of victims.
Remember the days when 60 minutes was a news show. Now you get steve kroft handing Obama the approved questions from the white house and too help get people to watch lets have Hillary on. TMZ has taken over 60 mins
