All due respect to the video game nominees (and there’s some wonderful work represented there), but a list of the best writing of 2012 can’t be taken seriously without mention of Telltale’s Walking Dead series. I know signatory status is a rule, but it’s kind of embarrassing when what is widely regarded as the best work in the field is completely absent.
I second that opinion. The Walking Dead video game had the best writing of any game this year. I had to stop the game after each episode to take a break from how intense it was.
I’d have to agree. The Walking Dead has thrillingly re-introduced adventure games to the masses. The WGA awards are incomplete and out-of-touch without this game.
Any comment that begins “All due respect” usually then goes on to be devoid of all respect. As with here. I doubt you’ve played all these games through and in their entirety, so perhaps learn to differentiate between fact and opinion.
All due respect.
