The Writers Guild of America West and Comedy Central have reached an agreement two months after the Guild ordered members to stop working on the cable networks shows if there was no WGA contract in place. Members were informed via email announcement. The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report were not affected by the November 26 stop-work order against Central Productions. The WGA also formally announced it had signed agreements January 11th with Prospect Park that cover writers on the online resurrection of ABC’s cancelled daytime soaps One Life to Live and All My Children. Guild leaders also urged members to begin preparations for negotiating a new master contract when the current accord expires in 2014.
