ABC has picked up its first multi-camera comedy pilot this season – Divorce: A Love Story from Rules Of Engagement executive producer Mike Sikowitz & Daniel Lappin and Sony TV. This marks Sikowitz’s second pilot this year, joining single-camera comedy Welcome To The Family he has at NBC. Based on the Israeli format Life Isn’t Everything, Divorce centers on Kenny and Robin, a recently divorced couple, who were bad together but discover they’re even worse apart and can’t seem to stay out of each others’ lives. The project, originally developed at Sony TV, will now be a co-production with ABC Studios. Sikowitz and Lappin executive produce with Noa Tishby (In Treatment) and Reshet, the Israeli company behind the format. Sikowitz is with ICM Partners.

Is there any hope for Issa Rae and Casey Wilson pilot?
Oy. Just oy.
2 pilots and a movie! So funny, talented, and one of the hardest working writers in the business.
Gary Fencik would be great for this.
A nicer guy couldn’t be more en fuego right now. Not sure if that even makes sense but you know what I mean.
Didn’t the original version star Art Shamsky?
I see Dame Maggie Smith playing Robin.
Israeli TV is red hot! Land of Abraham, you’re hilarious and talented and we always knew you’d make it big! 2013 is YOUR year!
Like the sound of this one and Rev, though I’m not sure Rev is a multi-cam. This one has a little bit of the 2 1/2 Men flavor. I wonder if there are children involved.
Sikowitz rules!
