Looks like America’s Got Talent is sticking with the Brit – or at least one Brit. NBC has confirmed that Spice Girl Mel B will be replacing departing judge Sharon Osbourne on the series this season. Mel B aka Melanie Brown will be sitting on the judge’s panel when the series has its first new Season 8 taping on March 4 in New Orleans. Long time judge Osbourne officially announced her departure from AGT last September after weeks of rumors. AGT won’t be the first time Mel B has been a TV judge. She served as a judge on the Australian version of The X Factor and appeared as a guest host on the original UK version. Howie Mandel and Howard Stern have already re-upped for another season of the summer talent-competition series. AGT had a bumpy ratings ride last year. It ended its 7th season on September 13 down 33% from its 2011′s finale – hitting a series finale low.

Who? Seriously, who is this chick? I doubt I’ll watch this season.
Mel B is a former Spice Girl, who was very popular on Dancing With The Stars and proved herself a witty and blunt judge on the Australian X-Factor.
She was the one that got Maks to shave off his hairy chest…
She is ‘scary spice’ from the spice girls and also came on dancing with the stars dancing with Maxim and coming in second place.
They should’ve added her to X-Factor. She’s better than Simon.
Yet another AWFUL decision made by NBC. It just crazy to see all of the bad choices made by one network. I mean, you would think that after so many bad moves, NBC could at least stumble across a good one.
I never would have thought of her but think its a good choice.
She is great on the Australian X-Factor – good choice.
Not a bad choice. She seems like she can have a good time, but contribute an intelligent point of view. And while the show isn’t solely a music competition, she has the music background that her desk mates seriously lack.
i think every one can do somethig so long as he &&or she is determined &i wish her success
