• I am not understand Andy Samberg post SNL trajectory. Really bad movies and now he’s been cleaned up to look like Garry Shandling to host the Spirit Awards. I luv Andy Samberg but he’s not ‘known’ for indie films.

• Andy has NEVER been funny. Timberlake made the only SNL digi shorts funny. He’s either very lucky or just has a good agent – or both. Yikes.

• So unfunny that I will make it a point to NOT watch the Spirit Awards this year. I have to agree with the other posts here, how does this guy get work or host the Spirit Awards of all things? He’s not funny, was rarely funny on SNL, and did I mention he’s not funny? I can see the People’s Choice Awards for a hack like this, but come on! Dude, some of your digital shorts rocked, but let’s call a spade a spade here, you’re a decent writer and a terrible actor. Step behind the camera where you belong…

• Wow, who knew so many successful comedy writers and performers worked on the deadline team and commented on the boards? I’m sure Andy Samberg really enjoys and needs your notes. He probably looks forward to seeing your upcoming tv shows, movies, comedy albums and other ventures that everyone here is undoubtedly qualified for.

• Andy was in one of my favorite indies of the year, ‘Celeste & Jesse Forever’, which he was really great in! Good on him for choosing to align himself with the indie crowd over the studio shlock.
