Neal Kendall has been named executive producer of The Arsenio Hall Show, CBS TV Distribution’s syndicated late-night talk show slated to launch on Sept. 9. Kendall most recently did a 10-year stint as exec producer of Tavis Smiley, overseeing more than 1,900 episodes of the talk show. Additionally, APA-repped Kendall has served as producer on NBC’s Later, CBS’s The Late Late Show With Tom Snyder and CNN’s Larry King Live as well as Carrie Fisher’s talker for Oxygen Media, Jesse Ventura’s for MSNBC and Kevin Nealon’s for TNN/Spike. The Arsenio Hall Show, which marks Hall’s return to late-night, is in partnership with Tribune, whose stations serve as a launch group.

LET’S GET BUSY!
Neal is probably the best talk show producer and least well-known in the business. Smart hire.
Instead of “Let’s Get Busy!” It should be like: “Let us get last one season.” It will flop. Conan, JKL, Leno still rule. Letterman is king, when he gives up his seat, maybe a chance to succeed.
Conan still rules?! LOL….his ratings are at an all time low and most don’t even know he’s even still on the air.
They can hire whomever they want, but, this has epic fail written all over it. Arsenio may be a nice guy, but, coming back after so long without bringing anything new to the table is a bad idea-just ask Ricki Lake. Add to that, the fact that the market is over-saturated with talk-shows. It seems I can’t even turn on my tv without another talk-show host falling out. Does anyone need/want another talk-show.I mean really?
Hall already successfully competed with the late night kings. I think he has a shot to be very succesful with this. Being syndicated the real chance to outdraw many of the late night hosts is possible.
Mr. Hall I am so glad u r coming back I can start a fan club and was a winner on your last show I have to be involved in some kind of way let me know
