EXCLUSIVE: How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris, who just left Paradigm where he had been a client for seven years, has landed at CAA. The signing came after Harris met with several agencies. Harris is headed into the ninth and final season of HIMYM, which earned him four Emmy nominations. He also is reprising his starring role in the upcoming Smurfs feature sequel. Additionally, Harris did two stints as host and producer of the Tony Awards, winning two Emmy Awards.

He was with Paradigm…really…seven years? Ouch that’s gonna hurt. CAA is stoked!
Makes sense. Smart move. Paradigm made plenty of money with him and with the series winding down he’s got some logistical hurdles ahead.
NPH is truly America’s sweetheart. Looking forward to him in ‘Harold & Kumar4′.
What is CAA thinking? When HIMYM ends no one will care about NPH. Smurfs 8?
NPH is the “real deal” and truly the brightest light, biggest comedic talent on the Caucasian Broadcasting System (CBS)! If the Eye Net is smart, they’re already working on the post-”How I Met Your Mother” spinoff with NPH’s Barney in the lead!
Truly, the guy is a GREAT talent and has awesome comedic timing and presence, so CBS ceo Lester Moonves better break out the wallet (and slice a sliver off his “media industry-leading” $60 million-plus in pay+perks) to keep NPH “happy” and in the fold!
Yet, if I’m one of the other broadcast nets, though, I’m arming-up for a BIDDING WAR to get NPH at most any cost (dare I say at Seinfeld or Tim Allen’s $5 million-plus per-episode pay levels!? Come on, this guy has major star wattage power!) — I’d say CAA and NPH are in the “cat-bird seat” in dictating his terms…another mondo payday is coming up for this bright-lights, Broadway billboard-sized star! Cheers, NPH!
Bidding war???????????
Thanks, Mom. Love you.
…..and this is a surpise?…..
