EXCLUSIVE: Milla Jovovich has signed with CAA, after a run with WME. The Ukrainian-born actress has quietly amassed an outsized gross track record, as one of the very few actresses who have flourished in action films. Her futuristic zombie extravaganza Resident Evil (hatched by her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson) is approaching $900 million in worldwide grosses, making it the biggest female-driven action film series ever and the biggest video game transfer. And she can sing.
Jovovich most recently did the femme fatale turn opposite Robert De Niro and Edward Norton in the John Curran-directed Stone, and I hear that another Resident Evil is in the early stages.
Jovovich continues to be repped by Untitled Entertainment and lawyered by Steve Warren.

What a coup for CAA, this girl can act and make money. She was brilliant in “Stone.”
And how much did STONE make at the box office again? She has no proven draw outside of the RE franchise.

Oh–forgot about that movie. But yes, you’re right, she was really good in that. I literally just made the connection that the res evil girl was in that. She should do more stuff with that kind of depth.

Congratulations to both parties. A a great talent with a lot of potential. Despite great successes with the RE franchise, it’s a shame she’s lingered this long on the cusp. Looking forward to seeing where CAA takes Jovovich next.

There are lots of beautiful women everywhere, particularly right here in Los Angeles…who come from around the globe to Act right here in Hollywood. Additionally, there are plenty of beautiful women here in Los Angeles that have American Accents, which is what Casting Directors want. Casting Directors refuse to cast Actors with Foreign Accents unless the Role demands an Accent.
She HAS an American accent. Find out what you’re talking about before you say anything.

really ithink we need to let Milla choose what she wants to do I mean really she didn’t have to star in as Alice for Resident Evil but it was her choice to so i praise those who are giving her credit for what she has done but the other group come on you have let her think for awhile before something great ideas come to her mind
Milla is fantastic. She hasn’t had any huge opportunities to showcase her abilities in more “serious” dramatic roles, unforunately. The films in which she HAS been able to do that are mostly indie films or straight-to-dvd types. I’m really hoping that with new representation, she can shine in more her more serious roles.
