One week before Golden Boy is set to debut on CBS, the network today quietly posted the entire first episode of the show online. The mid-season cop drama will premiere on the broadcast network on February 26 at 10 PM, however you can watch all 42:28 minutes of it here on CBS’s site now. Golden Boy is scheduled to move to Fridays at 9 PM on March 8 once CSI:NY wraps for the season. Golden Boy is about the quick rise of ambitious cop Walter William Clark Jr., played by Theo James, who becomes the youngest police commissioner in the history of New York City, and the toll it takes on his personal life. Greg Berlanti and Nicholas Wootton are executive producing. Online previews have become fairly common in the past couple of years. In 2009, Community and Modern Family were put up on Facebook and Amazon before their TV debut. Last Fall, NBC posted the Revolution pilot before it aired while Fox put up The Mindy Project and the now cancelled Ben And Kate.

Very sad to see the season end for csi/ny so early
.
Watched it when it was posted earlier. Pretty solid. I’ll tune in and see how it goes for a few weeks. Chi McBride owns it.
Moving it to Friday? This was actually a good show. Keep it on Tuesday.
I think Kevin Alejandro has found his hit show.
Why in the world are ya’ll trying to get rid of 1 of the last 2 CSI’s it was bad enough to get rid of CSI:Miami. Now CSI:NY!!!! Dadgumit people leave the good shows alone…including VEGAS!
CBS sucks that they are putting this on Friday
I know what people are going to say: “This is just another boring procedural/cop-show made by the old people network, CBS!”
However, this show is quite appealing and certainly worthwhile. For starters, the cast is solid: while Theo James and Kevin Alejandro are captivating in their own ways, Chi McBride is spot-on and controls every scene he’s in. Unlike so many other procedural/cop-shows, this series is actually character-driven (similar to Southland) and doesn’t emphasize the episodic format as heavily as other police programs do.
Yes, we know the main character will never die because he ends becoming the Police Commissioner several years into the future, but that’s the point: it’s a distinct change in style, opting in-favor of more traditional story-telling while combining the “case of the week” format of standard procedural shows.
I’d recommend this to anyone, even those viewers who’re tired of what CBS has been known to put out over the years.
I don’t care when u put it on but don’t take off Vegas!
Damn, I wanted to hate it, but I didn’t. Here’s hoping it doesn’t become predictable.
No thanks.
Great show, Berlanti and Wootton! For me to poop on.
Yeah, this show is going to be a hit.

Unforgettable, with Poppy Montgomery, was much better than Golden Boy.
Vegas, with Dennis Quaid and Mike Chiklis, is much better than Golden Boy.
Blue Bloods is superior to Golden Boy, thanks to the stature of Tom Selleck.
CBS should NOT have two shows with the NYC “Police Commissioner” character as a major player … even though Golden Boy is in flash-forward. Golden boy simply does not have stature.
Golden Boy does not rank and seems overly contrived, failing in the same fashion as other shows where the main character seems to have just stepped out of a shopping mall.
Chi McBride will find a good role in another show – he might find an interesting spot on Vegas. Plenty of hope for him.
Don’t care for this show AT ALL, so I really don’t care if it moves to Friday. However, you better not remove Vegas, BEST show I’ve seen on CBS in a very long time. Haven’t missed an episode of Vegas, great cast, great characters, something different in a world of the same.
Has Vegas been canceled?? I hope not….it’s one of my favorite shows!
